My recent experience at Donecake was incredibly disappointing. Upon arrival, my group of three inadvertently joined the takeaway line instead of waiting to be seated. Despite being in line before others, we were directed to the back of the line by staff.

The music also lacked in taste, as the cafe played Deutschrap and Tiktok music at a rather not so quiet volume. After a 30-minute wait, we were finally seated, only to face further mishaps.

Finally seated, we proceeded to order two cheesecakes, a brownie, espresso and coke. We were brought green tea, which we said we hadn’t ordered and the waitress proceeded to convince us that we did, saying that’s what she had written down. I was brought my coke and our food. It wasnt the brownie i had ordered. They looked similar, but the names were completely different. It was a Oreo brownie and i had ordered a Dark brownie. I went to tell another collegue that that was the wrong brownie and she proceeded to tell me it was the same one: i showed her a picture of the menu. Her colleague then said she would make me the right brownie. She brought the brownie when we were almost done with the cheesecakes, and went out of her way to walk around the whole table just to place it on the edge where no-one was sitting and left without a word. When i finally tasted the brownie, it was cold, hard and tasted like a fridge, definitely not fresh like advertised. The Lotus cheesecakes were alright, the cream was watery and diluted with oil.

In summary, I strongly advise against dining at Donecake. From the lackluster food to the disrespectful treatment by staff, my visit was far from pleasant. Save yourself the frustration and seek dining options elsewhere. Again, the only reason this place has got a high rating is due to the 10% discount granted when you rate them 5 stars and follow...

I waited in line to order the fruit cakes, while my husband sat in the cafe. He ordered an espresso and waited for me. I wanted to order two fruit cakes, (there is only one per person), I told them my husband is sitting over there. It didn’t seem like they believed me, so they wanted me to bring him to the till to prove I was with him. I also asked the people in the till if we could eat the cakes here, they said no, only take away. However, later while we sat in the cafe with the espresso, we saw several other people eating the fruitcakes served on a plate in the cafe. Very bad service. We told one of the workers, and he asked the chef again, as he was told the same as us. And there was no apologies or explanation or any service from the staff behind the till. I wouldn’t...

Food: The cakes we tried were very delicious and the serving size is quite reasonable. Too big for some, but about right for many.

Service: The place was completely full, so we had to wait. After a table opened up, we were seated immediately which is great. Orders were taken within like 5 minutes, which is good to get an idea of what you want. Food was out after like another 5. I mean the cake is already done, so that should be expected. Only small gripe is that they should ask slightly more often if you need anything else. The staff is very friendly though.
