New Year´s Party Experience (Silvester) We bought 3 tickets for the Silvester Party, we paid 159€ per person and here is what we got: - Only 3 drinks included. Before we bought the tickets my husband called to inquiry about the “3 Getränke zur Wahl” we were not sure if that meant only 3 drinks during the event or if you could choose from 3 different drinks, the woman on the phone told him it means we could choose from 3 different drinks, we bought the tickets after that call. The day of the event we were given 3 coupons for 3 drinks, my husband is German so NO chance of language misunderstanding, this was simply lack of training from the woman that picked-up our initial call, had she given us the correct information we wouldn´t have bought the tickets. - Limited selection of drinks. The drinks were almost Virgin, the amount of alcohol on the cocktails was a joke, they were very nicely presented but almost non-alcoholic. If you wanted something else the choice was extremely limited, cocktails were almost the only choice. - Seat availability. The day of the event we call again to inquiry about seat availability, we were told “first come, first serve” they couldn´t guarantee seating places, since it was our first time at the Paris Club we arrived a couple of minutes before 9, we were literally the first ones to arrive and we got a very nice table, however at about 11 an employee came to our table and asked us to change tables, he wanted to sit a bigger group in our table. My husband is a very nice person and because I didn´t want to ruin the night we accepted. We were moved to a horrible table, where we were given a “free” glass of champagne, which of course wasn´t champagne and it wasn´t even served in champagne glasses, the guy serving the champagne splash it all over the table. Never in my life had I been removed from a table like this, if we couldn´t seat on that table because we were 3 they should have told us earlier, I would have understood if they have asked us to share the table with 2 more people, but moving us was rude and we shouldn´t have accepted. The fact that the employee even had the nerve to ask is simply outrageous, this not the way to treat customers that bother to show-up early to choose a table. - Mitternachtsnack. This was literally bread and butter, a complete joke. Although the flying finger food was fantastic, the Mitternachtsnack was extremely disappointing. As you can imagine, we´ll never be back to this place. Now I understand why they still have tickets available 2 weeks before NYE, all good places were already reserved, it´s definitely better to book with enough anticipation at a good place, this is NOT worth it.

Disrespected and Dismissed – A Disappointing First and Last Visit I visited The Paris Club last night with my husband, expecting a refined dining experience to match the elegance of the venue. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and disrespected. We arrived early and were told the restaurant opens at 6 p.m., so we waited at the bar for about 45 minutes. At 6, we approached the hostess—a fat, double flab-bellied waitress who stood at the counter with a cold, expressionless face. Her greeting? A flat “Ya?” No smile, no welcome—just an attitude as though I were asking for a free meal. I told her we were here to dine, and she responded with “Sure, do you have a reservation?” We didn’t, and she checked her tablet before leading us to the most undesirable table in the center of the restaurant, directly across from the bar. I kindly asked to sit by the window and explained we would only be dining for an hour. She replied sharply, “All tables are reserved for 7 p.m.” We accepted the seat, but I made it clear I’d be watching. Sure enough, by 6:30, another couple came in, were seated in the middle, and—after asking—were moved to a window table. I overheard their entire exchange and knew they hadn’t reserved it. I called on a waiter, explained the situation, and he initially tried to make excuses. He later returned to apologize, but the original waitress never came back. She completely avoided us. That kind of passive avoidance and lack of accountability is unprofessional and cowardly. I cannot help but feel that I was judged by my appearance—as a well-dressed Black woman, confident and luxury-presenting. If she had a problem with me being a rich Black woman, then at the very least she should have respected my money. I was not given the same courtesy or treatment as others in the room. It was not just disappointing—it was offensive. It’s unfortunate, because the restaurant has potential. The food was good, but hospitality is about more than a nice plate. It’s about respect. And if a guest walks out feeling insulted, all the fancy décor in the world can’t fix that. First time. Definitely the last. (Attached: A photo of how I showed up

The location itself is very nice. You sit high above the roofs of Düsseldorf and can see quite far. That's on the good side. When we sat down the light was quite bright and we asked to dim it a bit (so you can see the outside better and have it a little more romantic); we were told that that is not possible because facility management would kill them. Seriously? Where is the customer focus here? The prices are on the higher side but unfortunately neither food nor service live up to that. First we waited over 20 mins to order drinks. The starters (oysters and escargot) were ok but not outstanding - usually you get escargot prepared with the shell here they prepare them without. Then we waited over an hour for the main course (Tajine and goose). When you are used to eat Tajine in Morocco you are in for a surprise here. You don't get the traditional Tajine ceramic and the wholesome preparation but two white porcelain dishes, one with vegetables and one with bulgur. That is not a Tajine but a vegetable plate with bulgur on the side. The goose came with red cabbage (which was surprisingly good) convenience food dumplings and convenience cooked goose. Sorry, this is a no go for this location and prices. You get the 2* for the great location and miss the 3 others for bad service, sub-par food and the no valet parking. If you want a great location and don't care for the higher price tag, sub par food, it is a great place. If you want to put your money where they care and you want to support this kind of caring- go someplace else.
