Doing our annual visit to Duesseldorf this week. One of us wanted tapas, so we landed at this neighborhood place. We ordered 4 tapas and 2 paellas. Everything we had was awesomely delicious, and the service was decent until the end... we were forced to add tips to our bill. Tips were generally not required in the past in Germany or other EU countries, but now the servers would openly ask for tips, and some of them were downright nasty. Can someone please tell me... tips are mandatory in the EU now??? We had a wonderful meal and it was spoiled at the end because a few bucks (15 euros)... what a shame.

Ordered the Gambas al Ajillo and Rumpsteak with potatoes. The prawns were super garlicky and delicious, and the steak was juicy and tender with crispy potatoes on the side. 🦐🥩🍟 The vibe was cozy and the staff were so friendly. If you’re craving some awesome Spanish food, this is the place to go! Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes. 🇩🇪🇪🇸✨ #Foodie #SpanishCuisine #MustTry #LaTabernaEspañola

It's a small restaurant with many tables, so there isn't much space. And when every table is occupied it can become quite noisy. None the less we enjoyed the good food, fine wine and friendly staff.

A very nice Spanish restaurant in the heart of Düsseldorf, just east of the Altstadt (old town). We dined here on 31.1.2024, a party of seven (7), and everyone was very satisfied with everything about this restaurant. The service was fast, friendly, and competent. We all had a good variety of Tapas, which were super fresh, very tasty, and reasonably priced. We had a variety of drinks - also very tasty and served at the right temperature. You do not have to travel to Spain for tasty Tapas - enjoy them here...

On a recent visit to Düsseldorf, I decided to visit this restaurant because it was near my hotel and the google reviews were impressive. I arrived to a busy restaurant and was greeted with a warm welcome. The menu was extensive and impressive. I ordered a selection of tapas , including tortilla, meatballs, croquettes all of which were delicious as was the wine that the waiter recommended.
