I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Habesha restaurant in Adabina resturant which is located in germany and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The menu offered a variety of traditional Ethiopian and Eritrean dishes, all of which were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the injera, a spongy sourdough flatbread that is used to scoop up the various stews and sauces.

Having had Ethiopian food all around Germany, on arriving at Frankfurt and finding our way here was the beginning of a disappointing evening. Ignoring the fact that the ambiance is trying too hard to be authentic, which should have been a red flag enough, we ordered the vegetarian version of a dish for 3 people and sambusas. The sambusas were refried a bunch of times before they made it to our plates; insipid and texture-less. We have known Ethiopian food, especially the vegetarian food, to be sensational in textures, flavors and variety.
