I recently had the pleasure of dining at Havanda in Frankfurt, and I was absolutely blown away by the food and atmosphere. This is exactly what Frankfurt was missing as I hadn't eaten a good quality Turkish food in Frankfurt before. The menu features a wide variety of Turkish dishes, all of which are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. If you like the Turkish pide and döner, you have to give this place a try. I tried their Iskender, which is döner meat on roasted pide bread with tomato sauce, yoghurt and melted butter, and that was just to die for. I felt like I was having this same meal back in Turkey.
When it comes to service, you order your food at the counter, so there is not a great need for servicing guests; however, all of the service staff I saw were very attentive and smiling (especially the ladies at the cashier, so a big kudos to them).
They have an open kitchen concept so you can see all of their preparation, which indicates that hygiene is their priority.
I had a great time at this place and highly recommend to those who want to try real...
Read moreordered beef dürüm (İstanbul style) but was served cold, the worker put it in the toaster before serve it out to me but it was still cold, tasted bad, there was literally oil and fat dripping out from the wrap..., and they didn't put the garlic sauce I asked for, not to mention that the meat was about raw..., its ignorant people who can ruin good food, i was barely able to eat the half of it, this is very far from the real turkish standarts... I am someone who's very careful what is eating, but was totally disappointed, can tell i feel uneasy and horrible taste in my mouth due to this dripping oil which i was able to see after a few bites. I regret it for wasting my money here.. no doubt though that its the lazy and unintegrated workers who doesnt really care about others, unfortunately such people are able to work in the gastronomy without basic knowledge in life, and serve people important things like food, i wouldnt come here with my family, i wouldnt let my children eat horribly...
Read moreWhat initially seemed like a promising spot has sadly devolved into what feels like nothing more than a blatant tourist trap, seemingly designed with the sole purpose of squeezing as much money out of customers as quickly as possible.
The prices keep climbing higher and higher, yet there’s no improvement in the food quality or portions to justify the hike. It’s as if the management is banking on one-time visitors rather than building any real customer loyalty.
The service is another major letdown. Waiting up to 30 minutes for something as simple as a kebab is unacceptable—especially when the place isn’t even busy. And when the food finally arrives, it’s a crushing disappointment. The dish is bland, generic, and often lukewarm, leaving you wondering why you just wasted so much time and money on an experience that is utterly forgettable.
What could have been a go-to spot for good, honest food has become a cautionary tale of mediocrity and greed. Avoid it unless you enjoy feeling...
