Too expensive and no good quality anymore
One thing in advance: JAMY'S was one of my favorite burger restaurants in Frankfurt.
Unfortunately, that was only the case until yesterday. I was extremely disappointed with my last visit. I had the JAMY'S DOUBLEPACK. Who does not know: this is a classic burger with 2 patties. The price has unfortunately risen and 19.90 € with garnish such as fries are already very expensive. I thought to myself, ok, you can afford that with the good quality once in a while. The burger came faster than the drinks and looked perfect as always. By the way, the waiters were very nice as always as well.
But now to the point of criticism: 2 patties make the burger of course huge and a challenge for the jaw. For this, the burger must have a certain stability, but unfortunately the quality of the brioche bun was so inferior that everything fell apart as soon as you took the burger in your hand. In this price range I also expect a correspondingly high quality bun! In addition, there was only a puny lettuce leaf on the burger. The whole thing then degenerated into a huge mess, because I had to eat the burger slush somehow. Such diminishes the pleasure that it should actually be, unfortunately, very significantly. I was really very disappointed, since I had looked forward to the burger so much in advance. In the future I will avoid JAMY'S, because the price-performance ratio is simply no longer true....
Read moreThe food in this place was good but service definitely needs to be dramatically improved. We booked for 7 people and they made us sit in a table for 6, saying that they would have added a place. We waited for our friends to arrive and they still had not added the place, so we asked again and they made us move to another table. We waited again a lot for them to come and take the order, and when I ordered my burger without vegetables the waiter felt entitled to comment twice on my choice (I am paying my burger so I am definitely entitled to order what I want!). After a while they brought us the burgers and we had to ask for the drinks which still did not arrive (we then had to wait around 4/5 minutes, causing the burgers to become colder). Again, when delivering the food another waiter felt like it was funny to laugh at my choices). At the end of the night, when paying, the waiter decided to make me pay one drink and one fries more than what I had ordered (he gave me back the cash when I complained, but it was quite disappointing). Moreover, the women bathrooms were quite dirty. I get it’s a saturday night and the job can be tiring, but if I am paying I expect an okay service and not being laughed at. This behavior is really sad, considering the place is nice and the burgers &...
Read morePOOR MANAGEMENT/COLD BURGERS Visited on a quiet Monday afternoon. Service friendly, burgers and fries arrived COLD! Correction - the fries were luke warm. My husband returned and cancelled his burger (he did not want to eat a cold burger)and I ate mine as I was very hungry. Tastewise: Truffle heaven was just a cold, greasy burger. The Parmesan truffle mayo was non descript - some kind of flavoured mayo but no truffle/Parmesan flavour at all. Husband had the smoke attack but that too was cold and was returned after a bite. Fries were definitely reheated - overdry and too crispy! Burger buns were cold. Just after finishing my meal they brought back the second burger (partially eaten patty in a new bun) and insisted we pay for both burgers - no manager around. Our friendly server was new and was worried that the cancelled burger would be deducted from his salary so we felt sorry for him and paid for everything. Worst dining experience ever - I ate my cold burger alone and my husband had to pay for half a cold beef patty that was returned and cancelled. Was there an apology from management or coffee on the house - of course not! NEVER AGAIN!!! The burgers were definitely hot and better before they refurbished...
