Liu's Hotpot - Liu Yi Shou — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Very disappointing. The soups used for hotpots seem to be made by using premade basis that you can buy in any decent Chinese supermarket. They are very bland and neutral, and you have next to nothing in them. The sauces that they offer are also bland and nothing special. We ordered many dishes to cook in our hotpots and it should be noted that everything comes in frozen, even their "hand-cut" beef (which is served on ice?!?). You can find exactly the same meat in the frozen section of your usual Chinese supermarket...

It should be mentioned that it is a "no service" restaurant. You order on a tablet and a small robot on wheels comes in to distribute dishes, and you then have to take them... If you want to order more, well, too bad as the waiters do not show up and our tablet had been taken away (we had no drinks for most of the dinner).

To sum up, if you had a real hot pot in another town or in China, you will be inevitably disappointed as this is mostly a joint that resells frozen food and premade mixes that you can find in any Chinese supermarket.

Only access seems to be from the street and down a flight of stairs, I did not see any signs of a disabled access. Menu on tablet is only in German or Chinese which as an English speaker was a bit frustrating. TIP, order a drink first then the table is logged to you, Then scan the QR code on the side of the table and you can see the menu in many languages on your phone and order from there. Although expensive, the food portions are quite generous however note that the squid comes uncleaned or dressed. We had no idea how to eat it like this and were told that is how it comes! There is a delivery robot which is quirky but pointless. It arrives at the end of your table and you have to get up and offload it, not the service I am paying for. Overall, I am sure that knowing how it all works then it would be a more enjoyable experience on a second visit but at 146 euros for 2 people I can not see that happening...

they have the cat robot waiter!!!! there‘s a lot of tables but i think every one of them was full after 18:30! so make sure you have a reservation. great variety of food, even vegetarian soup options! (not sure if they‘re vegan tho). home made drinks are great too. i really liked the interior, it added to the atmosphere. modern and clean, great place to have a good time with friends. there were many guests from different nations, it made me happy to see so many different people enjoying the food together. quite loud, crowded and busy like in china, it feels like home♥️ if you wanna have a quiet romantic talk with french wine and candle lights on a date with just the 2 of you, this might not be for you, but if you wanna have a fun reunion with your friends this is the...
