Went to this place due to the Michelin recommendation and must say one of the most disappointing experiences. Out of the 4 course menu only 1 was good (duck); all others were below average. Was very dissapointed with teuffle pasta, which was overcooked and really bad. You can have better pasta at literally any Italian place, not even pretending to be a restaurant. While food is quite cheap here (60 for 4 course menu), this cannot be told about the wine. Very strange wine card with overpriced wines: e.g. you will pay 120 euros for a bottle of 40 euros spatburgunder; or 90 euros for 10 euro quality appassite; no primitivo on wine card (!). We havent had wine by glass, so perhaps this could work, but getting a bottle is definitely not worth it in terms of price-quality ratio. Service... mixed feelings. The lady serving us was trying hard. But the question if she should change wine glass when we were changing wines just shows that training is still needed. Now the cherry on the top: our table was next to the bar. One of the servers literally leaned over our table, blocking the view to reach smth on the bar without a word of apology or warning. Its ok for knaipe, but for a place presenting itself as a restaurant? All in all - not recommended. Quite average food, poor wine card with overpriced wine, not inspiring service and vibe of a...
Read moreWe were so excited to go to this place, we heard such good things about it. It was not worth it. Upon arriving we were given menus but not the wine list. We waited and asked for the wine list and once received we were asked what we wanted to eat. We ordered our food, chose a wine and had to wait for the server to return. She did not. So we ordered the wine from another server. The wine arrived and the food arrived. We both ordered the beef but cooked differently. One of us got pepper. The dishes were reversed and we switched. So one got pepper but does not use pepper. So we ate. The food was good. We drank our wine. It was good. After we finished we waited,,,,,and waited. Finally we got to order dessert. We ordered a cheese plate. It took 20 minutes for the cheese to arrive. It was unceremoniously dropped on our table no description of the cheeses. Nothing. After eating we waited and waited for the check. It finally arrived after asking a staff member for the check and we were asked for a tip. We politely declined as we received no service. The food was good but there was no service. It was not pleasant as we spent most our 2 hours just waiting. This is a definite skip...
Read moreWe chose this restaurant with great excitement to celebrate our anniversary, but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite a disappointment. While the service and hospitality were excellent, the food fell far short of expectations. For starters, I ordered the marinated and flambéed Icelandic salmon. Although the sauces were flavorful, the salmon itself was disappointingly stale, with an unpleasantly strong odor that made it difficult to eat. The soup that followed was bland and completely forgettable. My main course, the sea bass, was another letdown—it had an overpowering smell and an unappealing taste, leaving me unable to eat more than a few bites. The only redeeming part of the meal was the dessert, which was beautifully prepared and truly delicious. Unfortunately, the overall experience was marred by the poor quality of the dishes, and to make matters worse, I ended up with an upset stomach later that evening, likely from the fish. It was a deeply disappointing experience, especially on such a...
