The experience today was by far not what I was used to from this place I have been twice here and everything was always nice so I thought it would be a great idea to come here with my friends, I am truly ashamed for this suggestion!!!!
We had a table for 5 at 11 o’clock . The last of our 5 girls group arrived at 11:29. We placed our food order shortly after : 3 times the bread with avocado poached eggs pomegranate and feta cheese! And a porridge with some sides!
Also in addition to the coffees and the water we already had we also ordered one iced Americano and 3 orange juices .
After the table that came after us (mind you they were16 ppl ) already received they’re drinks and food the waiter came to us and told us “there was an issue with the system and asked us again for our order !
At 12:53 after us asking several times where our food is coming and the juices we finally got the food! Disappointment in full force !!!!!! The poached eggs were overcooked (see pictures) almost no pomegranate seed and the feta probably left the building! The porridge was a porridge soup and my friend had her dish go back, didn’t ordered anything else to eat only a latte macchiato that 15 minutes later hasn’t arrived yet, oh yeah and the orange juice came 10 minutes later after the food was not freshly pressed so they needed over 1 hour to pour orange juice in 3 glasses ! The waiter apologized over and over but there is nothing an apology can make this experience better !
Now you probably ask yourself why 4 starts even though the experience wasn’t good at all ….after we complained about what went wrong first they didn’t charged us for the orange juices and the owner himself came to the table and apologized to us and offered us a voucher to underline that he truly felt sorry for the experience we had .
I give him 3 stars more then I actually wanted to because it takes greatness to accept when mistakes have been made and even more greatness to apologize and accept and take the feedback .
I hope they will learn from this and grow to be the place I was...
Read moreWhy or why is it so hard to find proper poached eggs on toast in Frankfurt? Its such a simple dish, but it seems an unattainable task for many to cook it properly. Not much needed to get it right, just a slice of fresh, toasted bread, avocado smash with a tiny bit of salt and pepper, and a beautiful, runny egg on top of it. Easy, right? Apparently not.
I thought I would treat myself to poached eggs on avocado for breakfast, at Roseli and man, was it a disappointment!!
Both eggs were sadly overcooked. The bread, which was not toasted, was covered with some sort of a spread (why??) which made it very soft and soggy, then came sliced (not smashed) avocado, then thick slice of tomato (that clearly didnt belong there) which was topped by overcooked poached eggs with thick layer of hollandaise sauce (which was not mentioned on the board menu btw).
I did say to the waitress that eggs were overcooked when she asked me how my meal was, but nothing happened after that, so I guess it was not all that important to them.
I haven't tasted any other dishes, and I am sure they have things that taste great and cooked properly, but sadly, poached eggs are not one of them.
This meal bought me 0 satisfaction, therefore, unfortunately...
Read moreCannot comment on the quality of the food and drinks, since we had to leave before our order (2 cups of coffee) arrived so as not to miss our train. We had to wait 15 minutes until we could place an order and 20 minutes later our drinks were still nowhere in sight. I had a good view of the bar area and have experience in hospitality. I can tolerate long waits if they are unavoidable (e.g., an espresso machine can only produce so many espressos at a time). What I cannot tolerate is a completely disorganised, chaotic crew testing patrons' patience as was the case here. A team of 5 ought to be more than enough for a small place like Roseli's, even if it is full to the brim.
The interior design is kept very simple and "clean" (white furniture in a mostly white room with coloured pillows for accent) and was obviously chosen with dainty patrons in mind. It seems very suitable for those who have...
