Ristorante Armonia 1989 — Restaurant in Frankfurt

A small but perfectly formed restaurant with delicious food and welcoming staff.

The restaurant is in an area that is very full of places to eat, but I'd definitely recommend stopping by here. The food is nice and reasonably priced, we had the spaghetti pomodoro and the salmon, both very tasty.

We ate around 20.30 and there was only one other couple so the service was prompt without feeling overbearing. We wanted to speak more German during our stay and the staff were happy to humour us while also being ready to clarify in perfect English ;)

We sat outside which despite being close to the pavement and road (with no barriers) it didn't feel too open. In fact it was quite relaxing to see the bicycles and scooters go by. I lost one of my favourite restaurants.

Overall good restaurant but this time, I felt like I got scammed by one of the waiters. We wanted order two appetisers to share, but the waitress recommended their Vorpeisenteller instead which was not mentioned on the menu. As we asked about the price of the recommended starter, she said about 20 Euro for two persons. So we ordered for four and to be sure, we asked her again about the price, but she answered: „Oh madonna! Essen! Es ist nur Geld“. And when we wanted to pay, it was 19 Euro per person which was double the price she mentioned in the beginning. I was roaming the neighborhood on foot and stumbled across this restaurant at 1:00pm. The menu outside offered a Prix-Fixe meal for €9,00. For the first course I was served a lovely, clear beef broth soup, with a basket of crusty, chewy bread, dairy butter and a small selection of green and black olives. Main course - Linguine Puttanesca with olives and capers served piping hot and perfectly al dente. Dessert was two dainty cream-filled pastries with caramel sauce. Waitstaff was very attentive.
