Ordered the Jausnbrettl (regional sausage platter), Marketfrischer Salat (market fresh salad) with pumpkin seed oil dressing, and Kalbsschnitzel (schnitzel with mushroom sauce). Everything was delicious, full of flavor, and clearly made fresh from both a visual appearance and taste. Yes, I did deviate from traditon and ask for sweet potato fries out of curiosity - but they were awesome and definitely recommend it unless you're a traditional puritan or hate things that taste good. Having just come from visiting a few eastern European countries, it was interesting to compare the Jausnbrettl to other sausage platters I'd had. I'm glad it was similar, but with a unique German interpretation. Service was generally good and the interior ambiance was traditional, but simple and uncluttered. They do have a menu that is in both German and English to make ordering easy for non-native speakers. Bottom line: If you're looking for a quaint, quiet place to enjoy delicious traditional German food with friends/family, this is a great option.

By far - the BEST veal "Wiener schnitzel " in Frankfurt ! Nothing compares to it. the veal is tender the bread cover is delicate, I switched the traditional potato salad with a garden salad - which was outstanding !. go for white wine (as one must with veal - like with fish), and choose the house white wine (Green Veltiner) - and trust the chef - as you can not go wrong for his choice of the house white. For those of you who are hungrier - go for the larger schintzel portion in the menu (2 hundred grams "Herren Portion" - I personally know quite some women who would opt for this lager portion - but German linguistics have their slight and excusable gender imbalances...). and in summer - ALWAYS sit outside in the shade of these gigantic trees. Thank you SEEFELD for bringing cutting edge Austrian cuisine to Frankfurt!

we came to a completely empty cafe, asked if you mind if we record a video (not about the establishment), moved a little 1 table, for 2 people, behind which I sat) ordered drinks, there were no people during our entire stay. (the terrace is large) and empty. After 30 minutes, we were rudely told that we are creating chaos and that is why people cannot sit down in the establishment. The institution has dirty benches and chairs. We ruined our clothes. the lemonade was tasty, but the attitude... if you don't want to be rude, I don't recommend it.

First of all, as a Austrian I was really looking forward to try some authentic food from home. The ambience was great, the food was decent, however slightly overpriced for what it was (ie. EUR 25 for a Kalbsschnitzel) and EUR 8 for a mid sized Frittatensuppe and unfortunately no one of the 2 service staff was Austrian (which would have made the experience even more authentic). At this point I would award 3-4 stars. However the service was subpar quality. The waiter who served us (who was the only waiter on a busy night) was nice and tried his best, the second person (the owner?) behind the bar took our order and at this point was friendly as well. However after we finished our soup it took around 30 - 40min till our mains arrived. We asked friendly and received a rude response in return ("our food is fresh, do I have to apologise for that"), we ignored it and the food arrived shortly after the conversation. However while we were eating, the waiter came again and informed us in a sarcastic, arrogant tone that he had checked the system and we waited only 18min (He might have been correct with the 18min from the time the server took the empty soup plate back to the kitchen, however we have finished the soup quite a while ago). Anyhow in a nutshell: Do not recommend because of really...
