I understand that a place called Thai Express used to be in this same location. For whatever reason, that place closed down. Thai Street is now there and they are cooking up some great Thai street food. I came here with my wife on our one afternoon in Frankfurt. The young man taking care of us was friendly and professional. We started out with some deep-fried egg rolls with chicken, vegetables, and glass noodles served with a spicy plum sauce. We both ordered dishes with pike perch fish, but they were out of fish. That was too bad, but we opted for the same dishes making a substitution on the protein. My wife had the chicken Kra Pow while I did a spicy chicken curry with eggplant, mushrooms, fingerroot, and sweet Thai basil. We both enjoyed a glass of white wine. Overall, some decent Thai in a nice setting.

My in-laws are all Thai and I can tell how genuine Thai food tastes… boy this is by far the best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand…. I had a glimpse into the open kitchen and there is an older Thai man preparing the meals… this guy must have 60 years of experience and he translates this into delicious and genuine taste. I had the red curry which was is incredible. My friends had pad Thai and the minced spicy beef…. Overall highly recommended !!! Looks like they have just started their business here. I’ll be back soon to this hidden gem.

Mein Besuch im "Thai Street" war eine wahre Gaumenfreude und ein unvergessliches kulinarisches Erlebnis. Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants wurde ich von einem Hauch von Thailand umhüllt. Die authentische Dekoration und die beruhigende Musik schufen eine Atmosphäre, die mich sofort in das Herz von Bangkok zu versetzen schien. Das Personal war äußerst gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie haben uns mit einem Lächeln begrüßt und dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns vom ersten Moment an wohl fühlten. Ihre Kenntnisse über die thailändische Küche waren beeindruckend, und sie standen uns geduldig zur Seite, um uns durch die reichhaltige Speisekarte zu führen. Und das Essen – oh, das Essen! Jedes Gericht war eine Explosion der Aromen und brachte mich direkt zurück in die Straßenstände von Bangkok. Von der würzigen Tom Yum Suppe bis hin zum knusprigen Pad Thai – jedes Gericht war perfekt zubereitet und präsentiert. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die frischen Zutaten, die in jedem Gericht verwendet wurden. Man schmeckt die Liebe und Sorgfalt, die in die Zubereitung jedes einzelnen Gerichts gesteckt wurde. Insgesamt kann ich "Street Thai“ uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Es ist nicht nur ein Restaurant, sondern eine Reise nach Thailand für die Sinne. Ich freue mich schon darauf, bald wieder zurückzukehren und weitere köstliche Gerichte zu genießen. Lg

We’ve been dining at this location for years, back when it was Thai Express, and now as Thai Street. While the menu and flavors have changed somewhat, the food remains delicious and reasonably priced. The dishes are well-prepared with fresh ingredients, and the portions are satisfying.

The atmosphere is casual, making it a great spot for a quick meal or a relaxed dining experience. Service is generally efficient, and the staff is friendly. While we do miss some of the flavors from the old restaurant, Thai Street offers its own take on Thai cuisine, and it’s definitely worth a visit. If I had to use one word to describe this restaurant, I would say average. Everything was just... ok. The service was ok, the atmosphere was ok. and the Pad Thai was ok. One recommendation I have is to change the type and/or cooking method of the tofu. It was so dry and crispy that it had the texture of a cheese puff (sort of crumbled into powder in the mouth). The spices used were nice but not over the top delicious. The portion size was generous which was nice. Also, the 20 euro credit card minimum is annoying. It's 2024, and people don't carry cash anymore. Enough with the ridiculous credit card...
