derfreiBurger — Restaurant in Freiburg im Breisgau

It is a small place opposite to the Saturn shop; can seat about twenty people at a time. I visited this place a few times and tried different burgers. All the ones I tried were delicious; my personal favorite being the Mexican chilly cheese burger. The meat patty is well cooked and juicy. Everything about the burger tastes fresh and that is the highlight for me. I will totally recommend this place to any burger-lovers out there.

Edit: In the last one and half months, I went here three times. And I was totally disappointed by the quality of the food; there was nothing fresh about any of the ingredients anymore!!! My stomach was pretty upset after I had a burger there and that’s the last time I went there. Am not planning to go back...

We had our first visit when stopping in for lunch. They have a nice selection of burgers on the menu and we went with a standard cheeseburger and a bbq bacon burger. We also shared a large order of fries Even though the place was busy the wait for our food was not long and everything arrived hot and delicious looking. The food would have been rated 5 stars had the bbq sauce been better (it was a bit thin and just missing something) and the fries not so salty. The onion ring on the burger was so good it made me wish they were offered as a side. We will definitely go back when the opportunity arises as it's definitely one of the better burgers we've had...

Been wanting to pay a visit to this burger joint for a long time, finally went a couple of days ago. I was a bit disappointed. The burger patty, cheese and sauce were definitely good, but the bread was super dry and not soft at all, made for extra chewy bites.

Other than that, I had food poisoning on the next day. Unfortunately the burger is the suspect, because it was the only different thing I ate in the days before the poisoning.
