Burgerlich — Restaurant in Hamburg

Overall a quite nice experience. The atmosphere is absolutely five out of five. It is a really welcoming and cosy place for having a few friends hanging out and enjoying burger. Moreover, The people working there are really friendly. The electronic ordering is really efficient and quite intuitive. However, to me, I am more pursuing the pleasure of the food.

This is what I ordered: a double cheese burger with a standard fries. One thing to compliment about the burger is that it is not too greasy. The bread is quite firm. The meat itself is nicely done. However, the problem with the burger is that it's not warm enough. It felt like it had sit there in the kitchen for a while. When I eat a burger I want to eat that hot cheesy burger that will fill my whole mouth with that intense burger smell with combination of that chewing satisfaction. It would felt nicer if it is freshly cooked.

I added an additional star becuase I was being a bit too harsh due to a slight disappointment to see such a high rating burger restaurant didn't satisfy my high expectation of it. The owner cared enough to reply my post just to know why it was rated as such. I think that's very important as a customer to know that they want to constantly improve...

The concept of ordering on tablets with a card is interesting, but it's absolutely needless and complicated. The design of the inerior is very nice and fresh. Sadly the most important aspect was quite a disappointment. The burgers were really ordinary. I would same they tasted almost like those non-burger things, they offer in McDonald's. The bun was too thin, it let the juice through and it was falling into pieces. The vegetable was fresh and quite tasty, but it was cut on too big pieces, so it just fell out from the burger (and I know how to hold burger correctly). The sauce was too fatty. It was somehow very heavy and not very good. I had BBQ (or at least I think it was BBQ). Now we are getting to the core of the burger - meat. I ordered it medium, I got it overbaked. It was very dry and it missed a taste. Also I should point out that the plate for the burger was too small. Fries were very good, the chilli mayonaise was not. Last but not least, the staff was quite kind, which is a rare...

Overall the food is decent, but with it being a dedicated burger place I wasn't blown away either. The best thing by far was the buns which were really good. I ordered my burger well done and got it more medium-well (any steak or burger place should at least be able to cook meat to order!). The fries were warm, not hot, despite the place being pretty much empty at the time. Fries portion could be a bit bigger. Other than that, all in all, it was good, seems like a nice place to meet a few friends and have some food, especially with the spacious seating, but wouldn't be my first choice when looking for an amazing burger experience.
