Absolute hidden gem of a restaurant so close up the shopping centre area. This is German food as it should be. Hearty, served up in big portions, in a great simple rustic inn style atmosphere.
The Weiner Schnitzel came out huge and we couldn't finish our generous portions of meat and potatoes and salad.
Starters with garlic bread and dips (curry mayo was a first for me) and a tomato soup with a good dollop of cream and a shot of gin hit the warmth spot needed on lovely crispy cool day.
Service is excellent, very very helpful and unhurried.
The clientele seem to be seasoned regulars and I have no doubt that its because of the excellent quality of the restaurant.

Read moreThis is a great spot in Hamburg that offers traditional dishes worth trying. We enjoyed the classic herring with beetroot, which I found to be delightful, and the schnitzel with homemade fried potatoes, which was the best I’ve had in a long time.
The service was decent, though not outstanding. At one point, the atmosphere was slightly off due to the lack of background music, creating an awkward silence. Despite this, the overall experience was positive, and I would definitely return.
