Primavera Bistro Pizzeria — Restaurant in Hamburg

We visited Primavera Bistro with high expectations, primarily due to its incredibly high 4.8-star rating on Google – something quite rare in Germany and usually a reliable indicator. Sadly, this time it was completely misleading. What we experienced was closer to a culinary letdown than anything resembling quality Italian dining. The outdoor seating should have been our first red flag – it looked more like a makeshift setup at a summer street fair than a proper restaurant. The menu was short and simple, which can be perfectly fine – if the quality holds up. Unfortunately, it didn’t. Not even close. We shared a starter platter – including carpaccio, bruschetta, and mozzarella with tomatoes. The carpaccio was grey, lifeless, and frankly inedible. I’ve had a lot over the years, but this was probably the worst I’ve encountered. The pizza that followed was equally disappointing. We had one with anchovies and olives, and it was brutally salty, as if the ingredients came straight from a bargain bin at the lowest-quality supplier. Nothing tasted fresh or authentic. It felt more like a fifth-tier pizza joint than an Italian restaurant with rave reviews. The only bright spot was the staff – friendly and polite. When we voiced our dissatisfaction, they kindly removed the platter (18 EUR) from the bill, which we appreciated. Also worth mentioning: the only Italian thing about this place was the Pellegrino water on the table. And now the worst part: the bathrooms. One of the urinals was taped over with duct tape and out of order. The tiles looked like they hadn’t been updated in decades. The stairs leading down to the restrooms were filthy and clearly neglected for a long time – truly unacceptable for a restaurant charging these prices. Overall, this was a huge disappointment. I have no idea how Primavera has managed to maintain such a high rating – it simply doesn’t reflect the reality. I suspect the restaurant is coasting on hype and inflated reviews, because the food, the setting, and the hygiene standards do not live up to the expectations. Would...

Ich weiß gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll. Wir waren letzte Woche einen Abend unterwegs und wollten noch etwas essen. Eigentlich zwei Straßen weiter aber da hatte man leider die Küche bereits geschlossen. Wir sind etwas durch die Straßen gezogen und dort auf die Primavera Bistro Pizzeria gestoßen. Sah von außen ganz gut aus, italienisch oder auch Pizza sagte uns zu also gingen wir hinein. Dabei bemerkte ich die Atmosphäre, das Raumklima und die Einrichtung und sagte zu meiner Begleitung noch „sicher, dass wir gerade nicht in einem teuren und schicken Restaurant sind?“. Wir traten ein, wurden herzlich begrüßt und bekamen einen Tisch zugewiesen (durften natürlich unter den freien wählen). Die Karte fand ich übersichtlich aber genau richtig. Ich konnte mich trotzdem nicht entscheiden was ich nehmen sollte, weil es doch so viel leckeres gab. Schlussendlich hatte ich mich für einen Gemüseauflauf und einen Weißwein entschieden. Der Wein war sehr gut, würde ich sofort eine Kiste von kaufen. Das Essen traumhaft! Die Kartoffeln waren nicht matschig sondern genau richtig, leicht fest und leicht weich, der Brokkoli schön knackig aber nicht zu hart, alles super aufeinander abgestimmt und zu guter letzt mit sehr leckerem Käse überbacken. Natürlich auch nicht zu wenig! Ich habe lange nicht mehr so einen grandiosen Auflauf gegessen! Dafür würde ich sogar den doppelten Preis zahlen. Die Bedienung war freundlich und super nett. Wir haben zum Schluss noch kurz unser Lob kundgetan, was natürlich ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zauberte. Das Ambiente war klasse. Ich würde und werde definitiv wiederkommen! Für den Preis habe ich dieses Jahr noch nicht so ein gutes Ambiente, einen guten Auflauf und super leckeren Wein bekommen. Chapeau! Selbst Kleinigkeiten wie „warten bis alle fertig sind, bevor abgeräumt wird“ wurden eingehalten! Schätze ich sehr wert und rechne ich hoch an. Ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!! Weiter so!!...

Cannelloni with spinach and cheese was delicious, and I really loved its sauce too bit. Pizza margarita was also so delicious.

I request chief to prepare food without garlic, and they did care about my request, they are kind and helpful.

Waitress did have a big smile on her face, she was so friendly and helpful.

I tried their home made Red wine. Its flavour was Just perfect for my taste. Tiramisu was also good with caramel on top.
