Restaurant Perle — Restaurant in Hamburg

We came kind of randomly to this restaurant as it was very close to our hotel and what a great stroke of luck. The waiter were really good and attentive. He thoroughly walked us through the daily menu which were in German but the regular menu were also in English. He also provided a nice blanket for our dog.

They have an open Kitchen which I really like and the generel mood in the restaurant was very nice.

I ordered the Wild schnitzel made of deer and it was amazing. The fried potatoes were well seasoned and delicious and the salat that accompanied it was fresh and great mix that went perfectly with the tasty wild schnitzel.

My girlfriend got a vegan risotto that was very good and perfectly cooked.

Found this via Google Maps and could not be happier with our meal! After a long day of sightseeing we wanted some healthier/lighter options than standard German fare, so we tried Perle. Greeted and seated quickly, polite and knowledgeable server, but the food stole the show. The salmon and cod dishes were fantastic with plenty of sautéed fresh vegetables (not potatoes) included. The ravolini was incredible and the sauce was decadent without being overly heavy (great for any veggies your friends let you try).

A wonderful cozy spot on a quiet street- a well kept secret in Altstadt. The menu hosts a wonderful variety as well as a lunch menu that changes weekly. I ordered a trout at lunch on a Friday that far exceeded my expectation. Delicately cooked with a crispy skin accompanied by sautéed and veg and a light sauce- it was delicious.
