First the positives: the place is nicely situated in a quiet corner of central Hamburg. There is seating outside as well and the quiet location means that is an attractive option. The service was friendly. On a less enthusiastic note: the staff seemed very busy preparing for a group (possibly) and maybe this was the reason for the long waiting time. My cappuccino took a good 15 mins to arrive, and when half an hour had passed and my scrambled tofu still hadn't arrived, I asked to have it packed to take with me as I would have been late for my meeting if I had eaten it slowly as planned. I was assured that the food would be ready in one second but it still took several minutes to arrive. It was packed well although the packaging was not very sustainable (aluminium foil and treated cardboard). I was finally able to eat it an hour and a half later, but it was almost worth the wait and the hassle. It was very good food. Another point was that while I was waiting for my food at the counter, the door to the kitchen was demonstratively shut to prevent me seeing anything. I wasn't really interested tbh, but I did feel uncomfortable when that happened. Also the toilets smelt unpleasant, not typical toilet smells but kind of mouldy or very...
Read moreAmazing experience!!! We wanted brunch/breakfast when arriving in Hamburg, we filtered through google maps reviews and ended up here. SO worth it!! Would definitely come again if ever we’re in Hamburg. Prices were cheap comparing to what you get. Service was amazing and friendly. Portions were BIG. I got super full, my husband got pretty full and my mom only just finished her granola because she was full as well. Parking was very close, but I can imagine it’s hard to find a free spot sometimes, but we managed to get one right away. Cozy vibes. Drinks were maybe a little small, but we also ordered a hot drink, so they are usually smaller than cold drinks. They were good! Would definitely recommned this place to anyone coming and looking for a breakfast place. Many people also gradually came and slowly but surely the place got full.
I got the shakshuka, my mom the granola and my husband the stulle deluxe with fried eggs. Yum! We got each of the hot drinks selection and they were...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at this breakfast place. From the moment we arrived, the service was unfriendly. When we asked the waiter what types of tea were available, we were told bluntly to "look at the menu." It then took about 15 minutes just to receive our drinks—a simple coffee and tea.
The food was also below standard. The scrambled eggs were undercooked, and the plate came with just two tiny pieces of bread—hardly enough for a proper meal. After finishing, we politely mentioned that the food didn’t meet our expectations. Despite this, there was no acknowledgment or apology. We paid the bill without leaving a tip, as the service and quality didn’t warrant one. The waiter left the table without saying goodbye or thank you.
This was one of the most unpleasant dining experiences we've had. We won’t be returning and wouldn’t...
