Leinegold Restaurant Wein Bar — Restaurant in Hanover

Don't usually take the time to write posts on restaurant, but I will do here because of the absolutely outrageous way I was treated by the management. I went there in June 2023 for a business dinner with 10 colleagues. The service took ages (more than an hour) but the waiters were nice and we did not complain. The bill was 650,00€ in the end but the invoice they gave us didn't have the adress of the company. A couple of days later I send an email to ask for an invoice with company address. I have done this many times with other restaurants in the past, it is a very simple operation. After 1 month (!) of back and forth emails explaining that they are working on it, and I have to be patient, I finally manage to call the person in charge. She tells me the same thing, until finally I get a date where I should receive the corrected invoice per email. Of course, nothing received on that date, nor the following day, so that I call again, and be told "tomorrow morning". That was one week ago and I am still waiting.

If this simple task is too difficult for you, you can always say so, and I would find alternative solution, but to say yes and make someone wait on purpose, telling them lies just to shut them up, that's the most disrespectful thing I've been confronted to!

I therefore would never bring colleagues there again and would strongly invite you to check other great restaurants...

This is the best service I've received in Hannover since I moved here. The octopus I ordered for my appetizer was very well cooked and spiced to perfection. I got the steak pasta with a gorgonzola cheese based sauce for my main, and it was ok. I didn't love this dish, but I wanted to try something new, having never tried this type of cheese with pasta. If definitely didn't taste bad, I just prefer tomato sauces more. I'll try the shrimp pasta dish next time I come. The wine options along with my waiter's excellent service, is what really put my dining experience here at the top. I would recommend...

Ich war zur Weihnachtsfeier um 17:00 Uhr eingeladen und habe direkt vor dem Restaurant noch einen Parkplatz ergattert. Draußen wurde man mit einem Glühwein begrüßt. Innen gab es auch alle anderen üblichen alkoholischen und nicht alkoholischen Getränke. Komischerweise wurde vieles in Whiskey-Gläsern serviert. Ab 18:00 Uhr wurde das Essen serviert. Die Kürbiscremesuppe war nicht nur gut angerichtet, sondern schmeckte auch gut. Allerdings nicht so lecker wie die meiner lieben Ehefrau. Als Hauptgang wurde eine Gänsekeule gebracht. Mit Rotkohl, Polenta (in Bricketform) und viel Soße. Sah ansprechend aus, aber die Keule war am Rand des Ungenießbaren. Es war nahezu unmöglich, die äußere Schicht des Fleisches mit dem Messer zu zerteilen. Einfach viel zu lange im Ofen warmgehalten worden. Schade. Es ist natürlich schwierig, für 40 Gäste das Essen gleichzeitig im heißen Zustand zu servieren, aber fürs Warmhalten sollte sich der Küchenchef etwas einfallen lassen. Die Nachspeise bestand aus 2 kleinen Glasschälchen gefüllt mit unterschiedlichen Variationen von Schokomousse. Lecker. Über den Wein kann ich nichts sagen, da ich nur Apfelschorle und Wasser getrunken habe. Das Ambiente ist sehr gut und die Bedienung war extrem aufmerksam, schnell und sehr freundlich. Man müsste in kleinerer Runde wiederkommen und a la carte essen, um ein abschließendes objektives Urteil...
