La Bruschetta — Restaurant in Heidelberg

I've been all over Italy and I've never had pizza better than what I had yesterday at La Bruschetta. It's all about the crust, baby, but all the toppings were also top notch, eg prosciutto sliced moments before it goes on the pizza. Vegan cheese available. Our party had 2 pizzas and also lasagna, lemon pesto pasta and ravioli. We loved all of it. (Particularly the lemon pasta.) Do not get the baba--it's nothing like the baba I had last month in Rome. The one on La Bruschetta's menu is a little cake drowning in sugar water. Not even one drop of rum in the taste. A proper baba is a bite-sized donut soaked in rum, like the ones La Bruschetta sells by the jar. *Order at the coffee counter for the specials on the chalk board. Order at the pizza counter for--you guessed it--pizza. Sit on either "side" of the space as it's the same restaurant. Or...

We paid 17€ for the spaghetti with black truffles. The pasta tasted bland, there were some shavings of truffles and some cheese. Pasta can be simple and tasty, but this one lacked flavour. Worst of all: it was microwaved. I didn't have a pizza, but those also looked undercooked and overpriced for the size. The restaurant is small and it's more like a bar setting. We were sitting across from the pizza kitchen and a group of like 10 people came in. They didn't really have a place to sit, so they were just standing around in a very tight space. I think at some point the restaurant should have said full is full... I have no idea why this restaurant has a 4.8 (at this moment), it is very misleading. I definitely do not recommend this place (€20 for a bland...

I am Greek and I just love Italian food. I gave this restaurant a try because of it's good critics and the "tiny" kind of restaurant that really makes me like a restaurant more. But unfortunately it wasn't what it was "whistling". The inside of the restaurant was like burger king and no-one took care of a new costumer sitting on the table. I had to try to get the attention of the service of the "restaurant". The pizza was ok but with no real flavor because of lack of ingredients. I order tartuffo pizza and the slices of truffle were 2-3 in the entire pizza for 16euro. I could also not pay via card which is I think prohibited by law. What can I say.... Really sorry for this place ... I...
