Mildner's — Restaurant in Heidelberg

Shame because we had a rude experience. We bought sandwiches and coffee to enjoy our breakfast and work. We stayed for a bit before moving to a quieter part of the cafe. But a lady working here came up to us and gave a very rude tone that this isn’t a coworking space and we need to buy something, even if we just did. Then I took a quick look around at all the people here with their laptops out and certain of them had empty tables and nothing ordered. Felt rather attacked.

We always came here and had our coffee, breakfast and lunch here with no problem. Their coffee, and tea, sandwiches and desserts were always worth...

Great coffee and superb staff - super friendly with smiles across the board. I enjoyed a macchiato on their patio and a flat white to go. There was a minor mix-up with my order but the staff went over and beyond ti address it. Fantastic experience, thank you!

As a side note, I see a few reviews complianing about the lack of to go cups. They do offer recyclable to go cups for one euro (two euros with a lid) instead of free plastic cups. I believe it's not something to complain about but a plus as they have a sustainable approach, which is great.

This place is actually quite cool. A mix of seating options in a contemporary decor with interesting design elements , in particular the large photograph of a cyclist and orange insulation tube style ceiling lighting. Service, be it take away style, was friendly and efficient We selected the Greek yoghurt with fresh fruits which was yummy, as was the cafe latte (one of which made with Avena) Definitely a venue recommended to those after a great coffee experience as well as nice breakfast/...
