I have been going to Aimy, since they have opened. I have been returning multiple times a year, and considered this to be one of the best restaurants in Munich. Unfortunately i can no longer recommend this. Since my last visit in November, the food quality has gone down drastically. The service is mediocre, the food nothing special and the tastes no where close to what they once were. We had the Wagyu Carpaccio that was unseasoned and tasteless, in fact this could have been a regular carpaccio with no seasoning. WE had the beef foie gras dumplings, which were so overpowering in their taste, that we were not sure what this combination was. As mains we had the beef short rib, that was so beefy and was insanely overpowering, like biting a cow in the butt. Another party had the the smoked grilled duck, that was 100% not smoked locally but was bought pre smoked and the warmed up. The taste resembled old ham. All in all incredibly unhappy with this experience with a price tag this high. After raising this to the staff, we had a message delivered to us rom the cook, that the problem is not the food but our taste. I very much doubt as mentioned priorly weve been going to this restaurant for years. And also are food critics. I very much hope that this will return to its former quality, but with the partner restaurants in town having gone through a similar change within about 2 years of opening, i have very little hope for this....
Read moreThe moment we arrived at this world-class restaurant we were warmly greeted to by Maria who also attended to our dinner needs.
The entire experience was better than anyplace we’ve dined in Prague and Munich the past 10 days.
This place nailed it, every aspect of the entire experience was perfect.
Service was 10/10 and the friendliness of the hostess, servers, and sommelier were as good as anyplace we’ve been the past 20 years.
Ambiance was very upscale and romantic 10/10!
Presentation was exceptional 10/10.
Taste was exceptional and some of the best Asian cuisine I’ve ever had 10/10!!
This restaurant has all the ingredients for success and while the food was impeccably prepared the service will have you wanting to return. Our only regret is we don’t have more evenings left in our trip otherwise we would return!!
Thank you Maria for making our evening out absolutely perfect and memorable. We will be telling our friends visiting Munich to make a...
Read moreWhile on a layover in Charlotte NC to Munich, we met someone who recommended Aimy's. She the Michelin Guide mentioned this restaurant as in giving it a "nod". We decide to give it a shot and it was well worth it. The menu is pretty extensive so I would recommend studying it before you go so as to not feel overwhelmed. The wine list is a bit extensive so I asked the server to choose a resiling for us and it went perfectly with our dinner. The tables are tight so your neighbors are close. The tables are small too so you have to negotiate your plates carefully. The food was 10/10 and I would go back in a heartbeat. The flavors were well balanced and the spice level was on point and the freshness was evident as well. The place was packed so you def need ressy's. The vibe was upbeat and lively, so it's not the place for a quiet date night, which din't...
