Ballabeni Icecream Werkstatt — Restaurant in Munich

We recently stayed a few nights at Ruby Lilly and found Ballabeni back behind the hotel on Seidlstrasse. This places scores very highly on google reviews so we decided to give it a try. Very glad we did as the ice-cream here is absolutely delicious.

We enjoyed our ice-creams enough that we made another visit the next evening. Later in the week, we went out of our way to visit their place on Theresienstraße near the art museums. This Ballabeni was very very good as well.

During our visits to Ballabeni Icecream Werkstatt, we liked the fruity and citrus flavoured sorbets but it was the ice-cream that was special. The dark chocolate was thick, creamy and rich. The pistachio a perfect colour and nutty flavour, Hazelnut was the perfect blend of nut and sweet, just delicious. They allowed us to sample flavours as well, The vanilla tasted of a creamy egg nog flavour and the cheesecake was very tasty. Wouldn't mind having had a full scoop of those flavours as well.

In the end, we were so glad to have found Ballabeni. This was one of the very best food experiences we had during our recent visit to Munich. This is aplace we will go out of way to return to during future visits to the city....

Tasty ice cream, as a person with Italian Gelato experience I expected worse but honestly, it was good.

They have not sacrificed quality over quantity and have fewer options but better quality. I had the staff's choice, and it was nice and tasty, with a rich, creamy texture that melted in my mouth.

The flavors were well-balanced, highlighting the fresh ingredients they use without overwhelming the palate. The price is good and very reasonable, making it an excellent choice for those who appreciate artisan treats without breaking the bank.

How lucky I am to have one of the best ice creams I've ever tasted right in the town where I live. Whenever I have visitors, we go there and everyone is also surprised by the quality, creaminess and flavour!

My favourites that are always available: Pistachio and Vanilla. I'm completely in love with the vanilla with passion fruit, but it's seasonal and I've had very few opportunities to have it again. ❣️
