Be cautious about how much you are being charged, as other reviewers have already noted. Always request a printed bill before paying. They typically don't provide one upfront, but you have every right to ask for it and review the details before settling your bill. This is standard practice in Germany, and the fact that they don't follow it was a major red flag—and we soon discovered why.
It became clear they were attempting to add an extra 5 euros as "Trinkgeld" (tips) without making this fact transparent. What's worse, when we questioned the waitress about it, she initially lied, claiming it was for taxes. It was clear she assumed we didn’t understand German, referring to us as "Engländer" when speaking to the owner or manager. Unfortunately, even though we spoke English, we are long-time residents of Germany and understand German well enough to know we were being lied to. When we pointed out that we did understand German and knew it was for tips, she changed her story, saying it was for the kitchen.
This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and unethical, overshadowing what could have been a nice experience with their Persian food. It's extremely disappointing to witness such dishonesty. Tips should be left to the customer to decide upon, and more importantly, facts should never be hidden or misrepresented...
Read moreVery good food, but make sure you ask the server what to expect.
I loved the food from grill and the specialty items. I ordered some form of lamb skewer (don't remember the name) that appears in the picture. It was very different from anything I've eaten before. It is not your regular skewer. It was juicy and perfectly done. It's a must have.
We also ordered kebabs made out of minced chicken meat - I'm generally not a fan of those but these are must haves. Amazingly good.
One should also try the Irani specialities. They taste different but are very good. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name.
There are two menus - Deutsch and English. There's at least one very good rice dish that isn't on the English menu, so ask for the Deutsch menu.
The ambience is great and our server (who was probably the owner, too, I guess) was really, really nice and patient - smiling in response to harsh criticism. That too on a Sunday afternoon. 🙂
So looking forward to...
Read moreVery friendly staff & nice traditional Persian decoration. My review will be only based on the food that I have ordered, which are shown below in the photos. The food is very fresh and good quality and I would rate my experience based on my order from 3.5 to 4 stars. I believe this restaurant have a great potential to improve customer experience, Maybe by providing more fresh bread ( hot from the oven) to be served with appetizer rather than room temperature bread or reheated! master keiar was not nice at all, it’s seem that it was Straight from the container. Beef kabab was okay (good) but can be improved and the Chicken kabab was excellent. Price was fair, but not cheap Service was also quick and staff were there if we needed anything. They are in very competitive location where there are many Persian restaurants around, so they need continuous improvement...
