So far, food-wise this has been the best quality out of all the restaurants we went to in Munich. I was pleasantly surprised since it is a huge restaurant. Brenner is really a Munich institution but I wasn't expecting the food to be that superb given that it's a huge venue. They have a huge open grill in the middle of the restaurant which runs on coal all day, impressive. OH, and what I truly appreciate about Brenner is that they are open ALL day long! Cheers to being able to eat good food anytime of the day, which is not an easy task in Germany. Here is what we had: -Tuna Tartar: phenomenal -Salmon Tartar: ditto, phenomenal -Lamb Carre: very good, but it was an 8/10 when it could easily have been a 10/10. We ordered it medium rare, should have ordered it medium and they should have chopped apart the lamb chops rather than serving as a carre. I like lamb when the outside has a slight crisp and the inner is soft and tender. Here, only the two outer chops had the right flavors and texures. -Salcicha pasta: we decided to be piggies and have pasta as dessert! Hit the spot and left us feeling very full. We got there rather early, at 12pm and didn't have to wait to get a table but when we left at 2pm there was a looong wait. The place was buzzing! EXCEPT there was NO bloody music in the main restaurant area. GAH! The lounge area at the entrance has music, I really don't understand why they don't do the same in the restaurant to have a bit of ambiance. The food at Brenner is very good and it is definitely at the top of my restaurants list for Munich.

I was here 6 years ago with my friends and I thought let me visit this place t again with my girls yesterday. The restaurant was super busy and had a nice vibe. We were sitting outside next to the water fountain it was so good as it was too hot. And the restaurant is kids friendly even in the toilet they have changing dapper station for kids. Well our waiter was Robin or something towards there I can’t remember good the name but start with R. He was so friendly and he gave us a good service.and he was fun too. We appreciated your time and your patience.the restaurant is next to they busiest street in Munich for shopping so it’s good to stop there for good Italian food.the location is good. The food were tasty too. The risotto was really good but bit pricey for that size.my Beef carpaccio was nice also just bit small also for that price maybe I’m comparing Munich to Salzburg or Italy 😜.but overall the food were really good and fast service. Inside also it really nice with a open kitchen we’re you can enjoy looking at chefs preparing your food.. but you need to reserve cause with corona they do take maximum numbers for different slot of time. I did my reservations through opentable app was quick and convenient.

I visited this restaurant with high expectations, especially since it is a long-standing American Express partner offering a complimentary drink for each guest. Upon arrival, the waiter confirmed twice that this offer was available. However, when I chose a drink from the options he listed, it was later added to the bill. When questioned, the waiter claimed there was a misunderstanding but did not offer to remove it. Only after speaking with the manager was the charge of only one drink removed. The service overall was subpar: the waiter struggled with English, making communication stressful, and seemed more focused on upselling drinks than providing a pleasant experience. As for the food, I ordered a chicken dish that sounded promising on the menu but turned out to be an overpriced, plain grilled chicken breast—undercooked and unsafe to eat. I only realized it was raw inside toward the end of the meal due to the poor lighting. For €28, serving such a dish is unacceptable, especially without any sides. Despite the manager’s eventual assistance, the overall experience was disappointing, from the poor service to the low-quality food. For a restaurant endorsed by Amex, I expected much better.

This is my first negative restaurant review, a reflection of the shockingly bad experience we had on Thursday evening. We had ordered "enough steak for three people," yet received two to three small slices of meat per person, with side dishes that were scarcely sufficient for two, despite our group numbering four. Miscommunications occur in hospitality, so, no problem, we proceeded to order additional sides and a large filet steak medium-rare, which, to our dismay, arrived rare (and cold).

Upon eventually flagging down a waiter politely expressing our general disappointment with the service and the undercooked steak another staff member joins - which is when we were met with an unexpected aggressive response. He leaned over myself loudly berated a woman in our group with the claim, "I'm French, I know steak that's medium-rare," accompanied by exaggerated arm waving and shoulder shrugging. Our table was left in stunned silence by the humiliation. As a diner at Hawksmoor, L’Entrecôte and a steak fan, I can confidently say this steak was rare. Never, in countless dining experiences across the world, have I encountered such aggressive customer service. The incident caused neighbouring tables to notice, embarrassing us further, especially since we were with clients.

Smaller disappointments included a scant tomato salad served in a condiment-sized bowl, soggy lukewarm potatoes, under-seasoned beef tartare, and cold, dry bread without butter or a dish for olive oil.

Only a complimentary dessert was proposed, which only hastened our desire to depart. While we later found humor in the ordeal, it did little to alleviate the evening's overall disapointment.

The quality of the steak, salmon, atmosphere, and interior decor were the sole redeeming aspects. To add insult to injury, another waiter had the audacity to suggest we "leave a big tip."...

Usually we are not one of those who write reviews for bad food or bad service because we were in the same industry ourselves and we know how hard it is to always be on top and satisfy everyone, but having a lunch today is unacceptable, rude and has nothing to do with hospitality. Let's start with food: The groceries are good quality, but the taste is not consistent. The portions we ordered were tasteless, the meat was toasted and uncooked, and the side dish was full of frying oil. The seating thable they gave us was on the aisle, not at all comfortable despite the open door, which for us with two young children was a catastrophe due to a wind. We tried repeatedly to warn, but only got a roll of eyes, and nothing changed. And now the special chapter is the waiters; I repeat for 5 years we have been im the same industry and have several bar’s in our possession, and we can say that the staff working there are not qualified, unkind, and insolent. when ordering re-roll with eyes, hurrying, complaining about our questions, how one of the offered meals is prepared, etc. After all the agony and dissatisfaction with pepper price of 170 € for four servings, we leave a tip of 5 € and the waiter (I am so sorry that I did not caught his name, but I hope he will be recognized/or one of his superiors will recognize him) turned his back on while paying, without saying goodbye, said thank you, went in style, you gave me too little tip. I'm sorry we paid the bill at all, because this had to be sued, called the police, whatever. Shameful, disgusting and disappointing. We will try to spread as much voice as possible about this restaurant that does not appreciate the guest, but goes for the quantity, and speed, the satisfied guest is in last...

I had brunch here on Sunday morning. The place is well thought with good decorations and a nice buzzy vibe. Having relocated recently from London, I had not crazy but fair expectations towards the place, being suggested by many colleagues. The brunch offering is organized as a pre-packaged compulsory deal of 10€ (bread, marmalade, juice + hot drink) plus additional choices from the menu. While the bread and drinks were nice, there was no possibility to choose the jam or the juice (only orange juice today as they run out of the others). Me and my gf then ordered some eggs Benedict and huevos rancheros. While the service was fast [they go for speed and high table turnover here], both dishes were served COLD, as the kitchen clearly cannot keep up with the volumes and thus makes the dishes as a food chain to be efficient. I find it a real pity as there should be more attention to the customer here, especially for a place in maximilianstrasse. The dishes were really unbeatable with the poached eggs not being poached but almost fully cooked, the bacon of the eggs Benedict being fully burned, the bread being normal bread and not muffin and with the salsa of the huevos rancheros coming out of the fridge on some cold beans. The waiter kindly asked if we wanted some coffee to excuse herself but very disappointed we paid and left. And looking around [tables are very close to each other so not a place for private conversations] I felt we were not the only ones with this issue. Finally the bill - clearly pricing for 2 people with the compulsory pre package will be going from 50+, and for this kind of pricing I d expect a better attention to food...
