Went on Friday afternoon, the place was packed, not a single free table. I wait for member of the staff in order to ask for a table. She asked if we have a reservation, to which I replied no. She said one moment and left. The one moment became ages. In the end a couple of customers left and we sat there. And we waited and waited and waited. The waitress goes to the table next to us to take their order, then comes to us and leaves 1 set of fork/spoon (that she picked us unused from the other table) and the menus, but only after informing us that it would take at least 1 hour to eat. We had waited already over 30 minutes in this whole process and I wonder, why didnt she inform me the first time I asked her for a table, or when she passed next to us quite few times, seeing us sitting there with the empty beer glasses of the previous customers. Even when she informed us about the 1 hour of waiting time, she held the menus, as if unwilling to give them to us. At this point and after some thinking cause we were hungry and tired, we simply left and by luck found a small wonderful asian place nearby. Maybe the service is better on normal days, but my experience was...
Read moreGreat place to get authentic Chinese food in Munich even if it has a few drawbacks when compared to another famous Chinese restaurant in Munich. They had a wide variety of authentic Chinese cuisine… from starters, rice and noodle dishes, seafood, pork, chicken, beef, dimsums, etc. I ordered dumplings, chicken fried rice, and pork with fresh Chili and sweet and sour sauce. The dumplings were mid but the pork and the fried rice tasted great! I guess the portion to price ratio was still fine whereas it was enough but not a lot. A very noticeable drawback for me was that they really needed time to cook our food compared to other Chinese restaurants in Munich even when it was not really crowded yet which sometimes would be a bit annoying when we are already hungry. Another one is that their coordination and communication among their waitresses was not good enough as when we already ordered, another waitress came and wanted to take our order.
On another side, I love the ambience of the restaurant with LED lights that has different colors on the ceilings and the lantern shaped lights too that really gives you a great atmosphere. Not a bad...
Read moreHad a craving for dim sum and this place had a small selection. Got the shrimp dumplings, the pork and chive dumplings, and the Singapore rice noodles. My family always say you can tell how good the chef is based on the quality of the shrimp dumplings. Rice wrap should be thin but not tear too easily and the shrimp filling should not be too dense and with a good texture. They did not disappoint at all. The pork and chive dumplings had thicker rice wrap, I bit too thick in my opinion, and the pork was chopped in very small pieces rather than ground , which is what I'm used to. They tasted good but there wasn't enough filling to the volume of wrap. The Singapore rice noodles were made with the fat rice noodles and not the usual rice vermicelli but the portion was very substantial and contained a lot of meat and vegetables. Kudos to the staff for seating me and accepting my order barely 30 min before closing. As I was alone, I couldn't try other dim sum dishes so I'll have to go back next time I return to Munich. I recommend this place. It's not to far from Hauptbahnhof -...
