We went for the Sunday brunch - had to make reservations a month in advance, so we were expecting it to be really good. Also, the price of EUR27 for the food, plus extra for drinks, led us to have big expectations from the brunch.

Now, when it comes to the food, there were some really good items, some good and some ok-ish... for this price, I would have expected most of them to be very good...

The place was extremely crowded, the waiter and service really chaotic (he brought wrong items to our table and the tables around us several times and I had to wait almost half an hour for my coffee).

While they market it as a Jazz brunch, one could barely hear the music. For a while, it wasn't even live music, but when we left, we could see they had started with the live show. But the place is so crowded and loud that one barely hears the music...

There are way too many tables, one next to another, that you feel that they just want to have a high turnaround - many tables = more money. One barely has space to go through the tables - in the case of the 2 persons tables at the end of the room, when the people seated at the next table wanted to go get some food, they would have to go in between their table and ours and thus touch our table with their bums and vice-versa... not what you'd want when you have food on the table...

Also, one has no private space... it really gave me the feeling of a cantine where you are crowded and you're supposed to eat ASAP so other people can take your place.

Additionally, the setup of the tables with the buffet was really impractical. People crowd around tables and block the areas, and the space is too small and crowded. A better flow and setup should be designed for the buffet area...

We moved here from London and I must say there is such a difference when it comes to what you receive for the money paid... here it's such a low level of service and quality offered for this kind of sum...

I have really looked forward to this so-called #bestbrunchinmuenchen, but it was a really disappointing...

Visited with a few respectful friends a while ago when visiting the city and thought it'd be a nice place for food and a beer. Sadly it wasn't. Looks nice, that's it. I would recommend avoiding this place at all cost.

The place was somewhat busy, not too bad, and when approaching the bar counter to place a simple order, we were told in a rude tone essentially that the waiters would take orders from the tables only. We had a seat at a table, waited for about 25 min and nothing happened. Finally after waiting some more, we got our food, which unfortunately tasted quite bland and looked plain.

Having finished our food and beers regardless, we waited and actively looked for a waiter from the table, which again didn't work out, no one to bring the bill. Running out of time, we paid at the counter, surprisingly allowed, and split the bill in two. A friend went to pay their part first, card payment was ok, all done. After they returned, I went to pay, and to my surprise, "cash only", card payments weren't possible according to the same bartender, even though I hadn't even spoken to him before, simply placed an order with a different waiter. No explanations, cash only, despite a friend paying with a card 2 minutes earlier. Strange, I'd say.

Overall, save your positive mindset and energy and go somewhere else where things work and where you don't have to wait for 30 min at a time for...

My group of 9 went here to finish our trip in Munich for the week. We felt the meat was very low quality, some of us were not able to finish our meals due to it being, in the most part, undercooked. Portion sizes were smaller than expected for the price point. There were no staff around to seat us, meaning we resorted to asking the bar staff if we could be seated for a meal, at which point we were waived in the general direction of some tables. Service was slow to take the orders but the food came out worryingly quickly!

When it came time to settle the bill, we found the waiter to be extremely rude, he refused to provide a bill until after we had paid. And after being told that we did not want to leave a tip (due to the poor food/service) he became angry and demanded that it is expected to always leave a tip in Germany and asked how we expected the cook and staff to get paid if we did not leave one. We found the whole exchange very unprofessional and it soured what was otherwise a nice trip in Munich. It was my impression that they were trying to take advantage of tourists to the area who may not have known better. Luckily we had a German speaking member of the group with us.

I would recommend...

I am downtown Munich on my last night feeling hungry and thirsty. I decide to go to the park café, which is close to Altstadt (old town) Just when I think I know a lot about beer, I learned something new. A patron behind me gets a glass that has a very small amount of beer at the bottom and the rest is all foam . Of course I am curious so I asked the bartender who is from Tanzania about the peculiar beer? He explains that it’s quite popular here in Munich and Germany and that people order it at the end of the night before they’re going home because it has less CO2 in it. I had to try one and found it rather flat, but I was very impressed with this establishment and the level of quality beers and food and the atmosphere was phenomenal and so were the employees that work there
