Not a bad place to get food. They have a few starters, noodle soups with different kinds of meat and toppings, a few rice and noodle dishes, and also small and big portions of grilled dishes to share. It is unique that for the noodle soups you can choose what kind of noodle you want (ramen noodle, rice noodle, vermicelli, or Japanese udon), what kind of soup you want (white basic broth, tasty soup with Taiwanese Sha Cha, spicy soup with Sichuan hot bean, hearty soup with Cantonese soy sauce, and vegetarian soup), and what meat and toppings you want on it. Me and my friend ordered the baked pork belly for our starter. I ordered the meat and toppings grilled pork, braised egg, and vegetables with ramen noodles and the tasty soup with Taiwanese Sha Cha. My friend ordered the meat and toppings grilled chicken, braised egg, and vegetables with ramen noodles and the soup with Cantonese soy sauce. The baked pork was very delicious! The noodle soups were just okay… the broth were both not bad, the pork was great, but the chicken was not good… it was dry and tasteless. Another thing is that for my preference there were just too many vegetables in the bowl. The atmosphere of the restaurant was okay but what I really loved was the service, it was impeccable! All the waiters and waitresses were friendly, kind, and helpful. They even gave us free ice cream after we were done eating. Not a bad...
Read moreOrdering noodles at this restaurant is customiable. You start by choosing your main ingredients, then select the type of noodle, and finally pick your broth. We tried two combinations: char siew pork with ramen in a mild standard broth, and another with udon noodles in Taiwanese broth.
Both dishes arrived in generous portions and included half of a tea-stained egg. The Taiwanese broth stood out, it was rich, tasty, and full of flavor. The kids preferred the standard broth, which was mild and comforting.
What truly elevated our dinner was the exceptional service. The staff were friendly, helpful with suggestions, and attentive throughout the meal. Extras came with the mains, the bill was settled quickly, and the overall hospitality was top notch. Hats off to the team for making us feel so welcome.
The indoor space is small and was full when we arrived, but thankfully there was outdoor seating available. This worked in our favor, as the rain had just stopped, the air was cool, and we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset...
Read moreThere was a noodle spot in Montreal that used to be my 5 star benchmark. It's now this place. This is easily the best noodle soup I ever had. I had the crispy duck with ramen in spicy broth. I expected long ramen noodles but got the short kind so would probably do rice noodles in the future but the duck was absolutely delicious and the broth was easily the best I've had anywhere. If I ever come back to Munich this noodle place will be a part of my decision to come back again. 5/5 easily.
Pork belly was good also but I wish I got the wontons. Either way. You won't be disappointed here. Easily the best noodle spot in all my travels around the world - including japan.
Before I could finish this review they brought me complimentary ice cream. Maple ice cream - maybe because of my tragically hip canadian maple leaf flag shirt... Or maybe because that's just the flavour today. Either way. Bonus.
Amazing service. Quick and friendly. Amazing food....
