Located very near to my office this is the first time I have ever been to GIOI restaurant. Location is really strategic as it is near to offices, banks, embassies, malls, so on. Let’s start my experience, Parking : 8/10 Parking is small and difficult for the owners to park themselves thats why they have very friendly staffs to help us parking by Valet. Garden : 9/10 Beautiful backdrop for great photos with dense trees and plants Ground floor 9/10 Beautiful decorations and you can start taking photos right from the entrance and almost everywhere you can take a photo as the arrangements and decorations are really good. I have asked to get seated in first floor. First floor : 9/10 There is a bar, live music stage, large gatherings rooms, etc. The seating arrangements are perfect for the theme and can easily accommodate more than 100 people(Normal times not during this pandemic 🙃) Menu Little Disappointment. Main course do not have much options and it’s really limited. In chicken very limited options. Drinks - Many items like red velvet latte, etc which are in menu are not available for order as it’s out of stock(Maybe due to pandemic not having all the menus) Ordered Roast duck curry but after sometime the waiter told us to order other food as it’s also empty. Ordered salmon lodeh and salt & pepper Calamari. Salmon lodeh: 9/10(Must try menu if you like coconut milk soups like betawi) Salmon - 9/10 Soup - 10/10 Vegetables - 9/10 Presentation - 9/10 Taste - 9/10 Salt & Pepper Calamari : 9/10( Not for people who don’t like spicy foods) Flour - 9/10 Bumbu mix - 9/10 Calamari - 8/10 Sauce - 9/10 Presentation - 8/10 Taste - 9/10 Caffe latte - 8/10 Espresso - 8/10 Milk - 8/10 Foam - 8/10 Presentation - 8/10 Taste - 8/10 Ice Americano - 8/10 Espresso - 8/10 Ice and water mix - 8/10 Presentation- 8/10 Taste - 8/10 Overall experience - 9/10 . Must try if you really like fine dine in with good ambience.

GIOI is an Indonesian Vietnamese fusion restaurant and lounge. I have tried the one in Senopati area before visiting this little gem in Menteng. This restaurant is very homey due to its characteristic and that classic circular staircase in the middle of the room. The first floor is divided into 2 sections, to the left and to the right of the entrance. While the right has more of a family restaurant feels, the left has smaller tables for 2-4 people that reminds me of a patio at home. There are 2 VIP rooms behind the right side area for a more private gathering or karaoke night. There’s a bar just right across the right dining area. On the second floor you will find a smoking area as well as relaxing lounge for live music at night. There are 2 more conjoint VIP rooms up here with karaoke available for reservations. The beautiful night sky can be seen through the windowed ceiling area above the lounge. They also provide a lift for easy access between the first and second floor for elderlies which is a nice touch. Another bar can be found on the second floor for the lounge. The food is full of combination of herbs that are commonly found in traditional Vietnamese, Thailand, and Indonesian dishes. I feel that they are better for sharing, however, due to the strong aroma and complex sauces that get a bit too much if you eat the whole thing. The wagyu brisket is a good example of that, exquisite on the first couple of bites, but too much and it feels a little bit greasy. We tried 7 different dishes, and the Crispy Duck is a must try for food connoisseur, as well as the Oxtail Salad Starter. The drawback is definitely the price and the Soufflé, I expected way juicy molten chocolate on the inside instead of the dry one we got.

My husband and I recently traveled from Singapore to Jakarta for a holiday, and our relatives took us to GIOI Menteng for an unforgettable dining experience. We were so pleased with our visit that I felt compelled to share our positive experience through this Google review. From the moment we stepped into GIOI, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly service crew. Their hospitality added a special touch to our dining experience. Unlike other places that often encourage customers to over-order, the staff at GIOI impressed us by advising against it, ensuring we enjoyed our meal without excess. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show – the Signature Crispy Duck. It deserves every bit of its reputation. The crispy exterior and succulent meat made it an absolute delight. It’s no exaggeration to give this dish a solid 5-star rating. Another gem on the menu that we discovered, thanks to a thoughtful recommendation from the service crew, is the Crispy Wagyu Brisket. This dish was a culinary masterpiece, perfectly combining flavors and textures. The recommendation was spot-on, and we couldn’t have been happier with the suggestion. The ambiance at GIOI Menteng is charming, and the overall dining experience was truly memorable. The attentive service, coupled with outstanding dishes like the Signature Crispy Duck and Crispy Wagyu Brisket, made our visit worthwhile. If you find yourself in Jakarta, GIOI Menteng is a must-visit for a delightful culinary journey. Highly recommended!

Was recommended by my Indonesian friends to visit Gioi and this place is a gem! From the minute you step in, the staffs are so hospitable, friendly, and quick to serve (provided I came here on Sunday at 2pm, so probably it’s non-peak hour). I had my server (Iqbal) to recommend what I should take since I’m a party of 1 pax and don’t want to eat anything too heavy. His recommendations is perfect and such a sport in getting me what l want from the chips to drinks and his assistance to get a couple of photos. I ordered the salmon lodeh (as this is something highly recommended by people) and satay lilit. Both of these dishes have the perfect balance of flavours. Starting off with satay lilit, the size might look small but it’s about the flavours balancing and complementing each other. The salmon lodeh, is right up my alley because as someone who doesn’t take heavy/thick gravy, this lodeh soup is light enough but has a harmonious taste to it. The salmon was cooked perfectly too. Do try their bunga kantan drink (both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic version), it’s a unique drink. Would definitely return to Gioi if I am back in Jakarta. And perhaps hopefully they will have fried duck with a smaller portion for a 1-2 person per table 😅 would really love to try this. Thanks for making my last meal in Jakarta so memorable!

Came here with fam, there were 5 of us. We ordered The Signature Crispy Duck, Salmon Lodeh, Crispy Wagyu Brisket, Salted Egg Tofu Bites, Grilled Baby Corn. And for the dessert, we indulged in Mango Sago and Profiteroles. Well, I'm going to rate the food that's very memorable to my taste buds! The Signature Crispy Duck (9/10) We ordered the whole duck, so we got 4 sizable pieces. Each duck was pretty large, causing us to only eat 3 pieces. The crispiness of the duck was 👌 I love the GIOI's signature rice too, it has kecombrang in it. Very aromatic and flavorful 🤤 Salmon Lodeh (8/10) First time trying lodeh with salmon lol. I actually don't really like Sayur Lodeh but it was surprisingly good 👍 Profiteroles (10/10) I have a weakness for desserts 😩 IT WAS SO GOOD!!! Choux pastry adorned with almond bits, filled with vanilla ice cream, topped with cream, and accompanied by a pistachio sauce underneath. I really really love it 😍 The ambience (10/10) Very cozy atmosphere. Love the decor, the warm lighting, the jazz music in the background, really enhanced the overall dining experience. The service (10/10) The staff were attentive, friendly, and prompt. Really made our dining experience truly enjoyable. The overall experience was fantastic, and the prices were reasonable. Highly recommend!

First impression very nice lady on the service line. Quite responsive and quick when doing the reservation; bear in mind if you book a private room or ask for a table for a huge group, they will ask for a deposit. Accommodated our group of 11; too bad that they put us up on the smoking area (none of us smoke). The service was a bit slow. They seem to be overwhelmed with the number of ppl coming for break-fasting but the same time there seems to be a lot of staff walking around. They have the weirdest storage area (some keep walking to our table area to open one of their cabinets). Food is pretty good! No complaints there. We asked for the waitress to ‘devise something for 11 people’ and she managed to come up with all their signature dishes exactly enough for the numbers of ppl present. The duck rice was AMAZING. Alcohol cocktail variety was a bit of a disappointment (they didn’t have my ‘Old Fashioned’ cocktails) and I had to settle for a Negroni. The Negroni was pretty good. Recommend to come to this place again; I think a few tweaks to their service can give this place a 5 star.
