Had the chance to visit this recommended shop via Reddit. And I am not surprise at the ratings they gathered throughout the time of their operations. Servers were passionate about their food and friendly, communication was great, and we had a great and lovely time having our dinner there.
Cherry Sauce meatball Think of a jucier meatball from ikea with no game-iness and a more balanced cherry sauce. This is what you get. It isn't too sweet that spice up the throat when you eat it. It's marinated just nicely to complement the dish. The presentation could have done more justice to the flavors, but a dish you must order.
Beef Short Ribs Presented through an additional menu of daily's special. This is another dish that you must try. Having already tried lambshank with potatoes in the other restaurant, which seemed to lean more to an acidic tacid sour taste, we skipped the lambshank and went for the beef short ribs. Much to their acclaimed reviews on the dish, it sure did not disappoint us during our visit. The meat is well seasoned with salt, and meat selectiok was fatty and meaty. (Would have been better if fats were well blended into the meat so that you won't get a strong distinction of fats and meat)
Shrimp "Pasta" Tratg. (Cant rmbr the full dish name) Well seasoned shrimps, and "pasta" well cooked to al-dente with a substantian bite to every piece of the pasta. Flavors are more to a tomato style dish and baked a little, maybe? Would have appreciate if there can be a bit of cream to moisten it up (garlic cream mix, maybe?)
Overall experience has been great, and wouldnt mind a 2nd visit the next time i visit...
Read moreI was doubtful of the comments that said this place served the best ribs so I had to try them myself and honestly, the ribs were one of the best I had in a long time. The meat was skillfully marinated and perfectly prepared. All the meat was sliding off the bone without a lot of pressure and the meat was so tender and flavourful. I also really enjoy how the sauce is put on the side instead of poured onto the meat like a lot of other restaurants. This allows me and everyone else to dip as much sauce as they like to suit their own preference and I can't emphasize enough how wonderful it is ti have the sauce on the side. The mashed potato had clumps in there which I is not the best way I prefer to have them but the play in texture was still enioyable. The service was respectful, patient and friendly. The waiter took the time to explain us their daily special and their specialty and the waitress did kot hesitate to show us sample dishes to help us pick our meal. Throughout the meal, they were quite pleasant and served us with a friendly smile which made the dining experience that much better. I do feel like I would have prefered it if there was a bit more cold air circulating inside the restaurant considering how hot it was outside. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the interior design which made the restaurant feel homey and it just matches their name perfectly. The prices are definitely a bit more expensive than most restaurants in the surrounding but for the portions and the quality, I feel like the food was definitely...
Read moreWhat doesn't this restaurant do to perfection? Greeted graciously even without a reservation on a Friday evening, this was one of the most memorable dining experiences we've enjoyed as a family. You understand here just how much a dedicated and hardworking team can enhance your meal, all with sincere smiles, attentive but unobtrusive--my daughter dropped her fork and before she retrieved it already had a new one placed beside her plate. The falafel was straight out of the Middle East, crisp but light, served w yoghurt, tchina, lemon and sumac. Father and daughter shared the larger short-rib special, son had mushroom ravioli, I had the lamb tajine with Israeli couscous (and copious almonds, slivered and whole)--all such different dishes but each prepared comme il faut. Servings were all obscenely large but so delicious, we were grateful we'd missed lunch so were able to finish. With our second stomach we shared the deconstructed semolina dessert, creamy with the crisp filo and almond tuile, also a little pistachio and faint rose flavouring. Local liqueur offered as a digestif, a thoughtful and appreciated touch. We recommend you sit outdoors, where you get a view of the building, which looks like a pink confection, and sweet adorning touches like olive branches gathered in olive oil tin canisters. Also a beautiful church up the street with chiming bells, reminding us that we were left to enjoy this time leisurely. Affordable,...
