Read morewhat glitters isn’t always gold. while the interior was beautiful the food not so much. i would like to say im a tourist so my taste may not be the same as the locals. but i ordered something very simple. A matcha and pancakes. If you look on my page you can see I’ve tried many matchas and i have to say this is one of the worse. The taste was indescribable. The pancakes were hard but bearable. I wanted to send both items back since i had two bites of the pancakes and not even a sip of the matcha. But this establishment seemed like they didn’t do refunds. So instead i asked could I switch my full glass of matcha out for another drink. they weren’t really trying to accommodate that but eventually let me switch for two bottles of water. (Which i requested) while letting me know it will be the same charge for the matcha. I didn’t even try for the pancakes and just accepted my defeat. Also I think it was the manager who came out and showed me what matcha he uses. I don’t know if this was to be kind or to prove a point. All in all I would say go and try for yourselves. The staff was pretty nice and the interior was also nice. You may have better luck with...
Read moreHorrible place! It was truly disappointed with their staff being rude. I had been eyeing this place from all the way in Chicago, had followed them in Instagram, and had talked to friends and colleagues about this amazing looking café. Then we arrived to Athens, Greece and planned to go here for breakfast. We checked their website and said they opened at 9am, so we walked there from our apartment where we were staying and staff lady there said they were closed and having some trouble (no detailed explanation), and said they were opening in about 30 minutes. So friends and I decided to wait around and take photos of its beautiful pink decor until opening. We were extremely excited but then as we were taking photos, the staff lady came towards us and said “no photos! it’s closed!” So I stopped taking photos and then we walked to their outdoor seating and sat down to continue waiting for them to open and the lady staff came again and said to us loudly, “we are closed right now! No sitting.” …: we stood up and walked away. We were upset of how rude the staff had been to us, standing and guarding their café as if we weren’t going to eat there…. At the end, more than 30 minutes had passed and they were still closed. We walked away and found a better and nicer restaurant nearby that was open with good customer service. Altogether, I didn’t like their rude customer service and they weren’t open at the time they’re suppose to open. I was so excited and happy and they turned it around for me 😔. This place may look beautiful from the outside, but its rude service made it rot from the inside.
