One of the best places in Athens for Indian food! The rooftop views are amazing as well as the interior. I always get chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and it's dreamy. The portion is big and it comes with basmati rice as well, so all this amount of food for ~13€ is really worth it. One thing I don't like, is that you have to order at the counter and then the waiters bring you your food at your table, which doesn't make sense to me, since they're still paying for the waiters but they can't assist you fully. For example there was a mistake with my order that I didn't notice at the counter and when I told the waiter he just told me to go two floors down to the counter to change it.. of course I didn't do that but that's just really inconvenient and the staff seems a bit rude and careless. Read moreI've been to Mirch quite a few times, and the food is quite good (esp. the indian souvlaki). However, while waiting in line to use the WC the other day, both me and the rest of the queue realised the toilets were extremely dirty. A customer opened the cabinet under the sink and found a large bottle of soap, however at that time a member of the staff stumbled in, told off another member of the staff for having not filled the soap dispenser, then promptly placed the bottle back in the cabinet and left. She didn't even provide us with soap to wash our hands. What kind of service is that? Was it not possible to, say, fill up the dispenser, or at least leave the bottle out? Were the customers supposed to do it, then? Ridiculous.
TLDR; good food but atrocious WC condition...

I've been traveling around Athens for about a month now, and this is the first place I've come across that is genuinely horrible. The food is overpriced for the quality, the staff is MISERABLE (especially the one pictured,) this place is NOT worth your time. Everyone else eating here was provided with a pitcher of water while they expected us to purchase their bottled water.
The chicken Tikka masala has NO flavour oncesoever, is merely just a cream based sauce that's red? Yes, red. Not orange or any other variation of what Chicken Tikka Masala usually is. The onion bhaji was disgusting. Flat as a crepe and SO salty. The rice was cold and the naan? Practically pizza dough. Not a pleasant experience, anyone look for genuinely good Indian food- STAY...
