Acropol Restaurant — Restaurant in Athens

We had dinner and breakfast at this restaurant. We had good experience with breakfast and waitress is very nice. Food is good. We are happy enough to leave the tip. The dinner is total different experience. I did not take waiter suggestion for the dish and plus we do not drink. The service is very basic. Which I think he just is one of kind. But I had worse Greek salads in last two weeks in Greece. The Moussaka is salty and cold with small portion. The top cheese is not even melted and it has no potato layer at bottom. All the experience at that dinner is worst one of our two weeks...

So this place isn't bad. The appetizers were very good, got saganaki, Greek salad and lechandolmarias and they were lovely. But all the entries were poor, the seafood pasta I had to send back because the seafood was old and smelt... Terrible.. the fish was okay... But was definitely a little old and the lamb was ok but such small portions. They don't give out mastica or lemon hello at the end of the night but we got a half litre of wine for free ( before the seafood incident) over all he was a solid 3 stars, great service but... You cant be serving off seafood.. it will...

MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR TAP WATER I sat down at one of the little gingham dressed tables, at 10.00am in mid August, when it was quite hot. The green of the trees overhead combined with the big fan pumping out cool air made for a very comfortable and pleasant experience. The coffee was good. If they served a simple breakfast of fruit and toast I would have spent more money. When it came time to pay the bill (which wasn’t put on the table at the time my coffee was served) I was charged €1.70 for water (usually free when it comes out of the taps) in addition to the €4.00 price...
