We were seated at 8pm after being told we could not stay any later than 10pm, which we thought would be no problem. After waiting 10+ minutes for an obviously open table we were seated, then waited another 10+ minutes for our drink menus. After ordering drinks we waited another 20+ minutes before having to ask the hostess for dinner menus, even though we clarified before sitting that we intend on eating dinner. We ordered our meals, both from the appetizer and main course menus. Half of our first courses arrived 30 minutes later BEFORE our drinks were delivered. (Now waiting over 50 minutes for the drinks). One of our drinks very obviously contained little to no alcohol. We could see the bartender from our table and she obviously didn't have a clue what she was doing. It was more shocking the lack of urgency in all the staff. It was obvious that the patrons were not their priority. Through observation not only was staff unavailable, the surrounding tables were empty and seemingly not busy. While waiting for drinks we were given bread, which we accepted as it was brought directly to the table. Later to find out that we were charged 2 euros per role. Finally we received the other half of our first course. Also important to note that none of our dishes were cleared during this time. We eventually had to request our plates to be cleared by the waiter. He took 2 plates and never returned for the remaining dishes which were cluttering our table. Before the last course arrived we attempted to order one more drink for our friend. The last course arrived sporadically over the next 30 minutes. Once we finished our last courses we had to call an employee over to cancel the drink order we never received and requested the check so we could leave this incredibly horrible and uncomfortable establishment. When we scanned the check we noticed we were charged for 3 extra drinks, 3,5 euro per water (which was not offered, or ordered, but given to us without request) and the charge of the bread of 16 euros total. We brought the up-charge to the attention of the waiter to which he proceeded to belittle us and debate us on the incorrect charges. Between the unexpected charges and the horrible service we hope that no one ever gives this...

We were here twice during our visit to Athens, as it was very close to our hotel. First time we stopped for drinks while shopping for souvenirs. Second time we decided to have a bite as well. The food was very good and the moussaka the best I’ve ever had (but no specialist here). They had dry martini in the menu, I’ve asked if they could make it dirty and they did it without extra cost. The wine was also very good.

On the other hand, the service was not the best. Although very friendly, their English was limited, what is not ideal for a restaurant in such a touristy area. Then I ordered a white wine and got a rosé. No problem, just drank it and it was lovely. Then asked again for the white one I wanted, but found out while paying that I got something else. The wines I’ve ordered cost 9 and 7 euro each glass, but they served me a 12 euro wine without asking if it was ok. And charged 16 for the one that should normally cost 7 euro or so. I complained and they tried to correct it, but it was still 1 euro more expensive than what I had had. I let it be and paid for it.

No hard feelings, even recommended it to someone else, but it is something to be careful about. Also that they offer you bottled water when you first sit could be confusing for some that might think it is for free. So it gives a...

Came with a group of 8 after the 5k run in central Athens on Sep 29 2024 (just to be clear that I was actually a customer and not a distressed former employee as management is suggesting below - though I highly doubt there are many such distressed former employees who have fled said establishment).

Each and every single plate of ours was served well late and well after two other parties who had arrived after us and had ordered pretty much the same things. 4 out of 8 of our orders were wrong. The food wasn’t all that bad but did have a strong proclivity for blandness - but the prices were criminally high for said quality.

But what truly gives this dining experience a one star is the utter lack of understanding and grace on behalf of the management present, who despite our frequent and polite complaints about both the quality, correctness and eschewed timing of our meals we were simply met by the same unflappable snobbery, arrogance and criminal lack of any desire to make amends as is also witnessed in that same management’s deluded response below wherein they believe there is a conspiracy to defame this establishment.

No dearest, no one’s out to ruin your business. You’re doing that fine...

Was hoping to eat something decent and thought we couldn't go wrong with this place. Oh boy... was I ever so wrong. Ordered Maki sushi and it was the worst ever. Using risotto rice and the taste was just awful! Overpowering taste of dill and the rice was mush. It was so bad that we had to play a game where the loser has to eat a piece. Main course was pasta, can't go wrong right? That's where you're wrong as well! Fettuccine vongole was so bland and the pasta overcooked. Shrimp ravioli tasted weird with a very salty broth. Also, think the chef couldn't tell the difference between a ravioli and tortellini cos what was served is actually tortellini. Service needs improvement because the bread that was offered is not complimentary and the staff will not say it's chargeable at €5. Instead, they will ask you if you would like to have it. The moment you say yes, they'll leave it on the table and walk off, only for you to find out when paying for the bill. Will not recommend to anyone even to my worst enemies.

Our first night in Athens, and wandering about we wanted to catch dinner. We knew nothing about Milton’s but liked the area and outdoor cafe setting. The menu was extensive. We started with ouzo mojitos, which were excellent if you like ouzo. Our starters were burrata, local sea urchin (uni), and house made bread with olive oil and Kalamata olives. We were warned that local uni is smaller than what we are used to in North America, but it was tasty and not at all fishy. Our mains were black cod and truffle risotto. Both were excellent, especially the risotto. Both paired well with a glass of white wine from Santorini, which was very dry and crisp. The service was polished and the suggestions very helpful. With tip dinner was a bit over €170 for two but well worth it.
