Cafe Plaka — Restaurant in Athens

A café that immediately wins you over, not only because of its location but also for the atmosphere it creates. Situated in the heart of Plaka, it makes you feel as if you’re stepping right into the history of Athens, surrounded by cobblestone streets and traditional houses.

The staff were excellent,polite, friendly and always ready to help. They made us feel like we were being welcomed into a warm home rather than just another café.

The rooftop terrace is truly the highlight. From there, you get a wonderful view of the Acropolis and the charming streets below, the perfect spot for a coffee or a drink with friends. The vibe is relaxed and inviting, whether you visit during the day or in the evening.

A place that combines a beautiful setting, great service, and a unique location. Definitely worth a stop on your next walk...

The place itself offers a cozy vibe, especially when the fireplace is lit. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood, in the Plaka district. The staff was pretty much friendly. However, after having their veggie omelette I experienced nausea, diarrhea and severe stomach aches. I had to visit the hospital during my stay in Athens, my whole vacation being ruined. After returning home, the syptoms got even more sever, I got internalised in the hospital and it turns out I got infected with some sort of virus. Definitely stay away from their egg-based dishes, especially during weekends and evenings. I am afraid they are not freshly prepared. This place is so good I ate here three different days on my trip to Athens. Delicious food, it’s mostly sweet food but they do have some savory crepe options and an omelette. The waffles are the main event here though, and they are DELICIOUS! Their coffee is very delicious too. They have flavors like coconut, hazelnut, and vanilla I think, I had coconut and hazelnut on different days. They were delicious although the coconut was better. The rooftop is adorable. I ate there every day I was there. In some spots, you can see Acropolis from your seat! The service was also friendly and did not rush you at all. I definitely recommend...
