It is simply easier to split up the description of this experience. First, expect to spend about €45 per person with drinks. The food is intended to be shared (family style) and you have a two hour window. Finally, make reservations, especially on a weekend. Now, let's get started!

Drinks: The evening started out with an intriguing drink menu. All of the drinks are wild and have flavorings of various sorts. One drink, the Ethics, included hints of blue cheese... Which was delicious. Yes, I ordered it and would do so again. The Cosmos (my wife's) had a delicate serving of what appeared to be white chocolate sitting upon a cube of ice, making it the most stunning of the bunch.

Appetizers: Since everything is served "family style" and intended to be shared, we did just that. Everything was delicious but the the winning appetizer was a cheese dip mix of a Neapolitan cream and feta with various peppers and spices, topped with jamon (thick prosciutto) and figs. Similar in spirit to tirokafteri, the Greek spicy cheese dip, but elevated. Each bite leaves a nice tingle of heat while maintaining a super delicate flavor and highlighting the creaminess of the cheese.

Main courses: The Octopus was delicious and well prepared, but it was not the whole grilled tentacle that has been pictured in reviews before. I was initially disappointed, but overcame that in an instant when I was able to scoop up a bite, complete with the garlic sauce and beautiful olives it was served with. I don't even like olives and they were blissful. The pappardelle with veal cheek was amazing and the meat was soft and fork-tender. The dish melted in our mouths while still retaining a good toothiness in the pasta. The presentation on everything showed how much they cared about the food they presented.

Dessert: We almost bypassed dessert since we had ordered six or so plates of food... Until the coconut dessert was described. Our friend loves coconut, so we had to give it a shot. To say I would go back and eat four more is an understatement. The presentation is beautiful. The toasted bed of coconut it sits on is the best described a coconut shredded wheat (with absolutely no disrespect to the chef, it was texturally bliss). The chocolate shell is satisfyingly fun to crack open and the cream-encased, apricot-filled cake inside made me wish I hadn't volunteered to share.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and while it was our most expensive meal in Greece, it was still about half of what it would have cost in the...

I am very disappointed from the behavior of the personnel and the policy of this restaurant to families with small babes. We booked to this restaurant 3 weeks in advance for a table of 4 adults. Unfortunately something came up with our babysitter and we had to bring our 9 months baby with us. We called the restaurant few hours before the reservation to inform them that we will have a baby stroller with us. They told us that this is not possible due to limitations of space. Then we asked for a baby chair instead. They told us that they don’t have any and that if they knew that we would bring a baby they wouldn’t allow the reservation. Then they asked us to cancel the reservation and we said no. Finally we went there without the baby stroller and we had the baby in our lap for the whole time. We realized that there was enough space in our table and that it is a relatively spacious restaurant. Another thing that annoyed us was that the table was right in front of the door which was opening all the time for serving the tables outside. Sometimes the waiters didn’t even bother to close it. It was not a pleasant experience on a winter night. Maybe it was a punishment for bringing a baby (…let’s put them as far away from all the tables). After finishing all our dishes (around 10pm) we asked for some hot water to make milk for the baby. At this point the restaurant was half full with no new entries. After 10 minutes the waiter informed us that we cannot have hot water because the water boiler is not working. I told him that in a well know restaurant there must be a way to boil water in the kitchen. He said ok I will ask, and after 10 minutes he returned with a cup of hot water. Before leaving the restaurant we complained to a waiter for their policy and he told us that they don’t allow small children after 6 pm. and also bay strollers because they don’t want to destroy the aesthetics of the restaurant. I would not expect such discrimination from a well know restaurant. Finally after paying a bill of more than 50 euros per person we all felt that the food didn’t worth either the money or the trouble they caused to us. Maybe if they treated us better we would have a...

A very underwhelming experience, mostly due to the bad service, although the food was good and some dishes were great. We had booked a table for 4 and were sat at a table set up for 3. All tables had a small table lamp except ours and we had to ask for one, as the outside area was dark. We waited for a very long time to be given menus and for our order to be taken, as the establishment was clearly understaffed. The food came quickly, but the table was not getting cleared from the empty dishes, although it was small. We ordered a dip and bread; 3 pieces of bread were brought, although we were 4 at the table, and asked if we could have another piece of bread, especially as one of the pieces was from the very end of the loaf. We were told that the bread portion was 3 pieces only and if we wanted more we had to order another portion. In the same way, the dip we ordered came with 3 crackers on the plate for 4 people. We ordered the dumplings which also came with 3 pieces that 4 people had to share - at the point of order we did ask the waiter if the amount of food was enough and at no point were we told that the dish comes as a portion of 3, nor was there a mention of this on the menu. At some point we needed additional napkins, but had to ask twice to get them. A waiter brought to the table a dish we had not ordered and later the same waiter brought a dish we had ordered, for the second time, within the span of 10 minutes. We had to tell them that they had already brought that and we had already eaten it, as it was the same waiter that brought the dish the first time as well. They just picked up the dish and left. We were never offered additional drinks and never had our water refilled. We were offered dessert menus and 2 minutes later, the waiter that brought us menus asked if we were ready to order, even though we had no time to look at the menus. The toilets were not very clean or well looked after. Overall the experience was poor, especially after having a very formal introduction about the concept and level of the restaurant from the waiter, as soon as we sat down. They are setting a standard that they are...

Very lovely restaurant hidden in the streets of Athens. If you aren’t looking for it purposefully, you’re likely to miss it. First, the staff were very knowledgeable. Service was top notch. Food were prepared very creatively, and had a gourmet touch. Presentation and aesthetic of the food was top notch! The menu seem to change every now and then (as we couldn’t find similar food on the reviews when we visited) - so kudos to the chef for coming up with new dishes. The dishes are prepared with an elegant and creative touch in mind (albeit some a bit experimental), so depending on your expectations, it may be quite different to what you expect of Greek food. We personally loved the Grilled Sea Bream in Kakavia broth (which we understand is quite a traditional Greek dish soup). The fish was grilled to perfection - crispy skin and the meat was very soft and juicy. The soup was really strong in flavour which we really liked. We liked the Moussaka Dumplings too - the skin was very tender, and the béchamel sauce is just delicious. Seafood Giouvarlakia was also a delight to try. The ingredients making up the balls were distinct, and you can taste and feel the component of the fish and the prawns. We had the Mille-Feuille for dessert and the presentation came in a log. It was in a slightly deconstructed form (as you expect), but overall the taste was well balanced - good touch of the lemon mousse with sweetness. The bread was very soft and the skin was crisp. Really fantastic starter to begin our meals. We personally think this is a must have! Overall, we really enjoyed it! It may be pricey for some, but we were there to try a different style of Greek Traditional food so we were not concerned about the price

Wonderful cocktails and food tucked in behind the busy main streets. Lovely interior with knowledgeable staff. There is a delicious mix of fusion tastes on offer. The highlights for us were the mountain tea with shiitake mushroom cocktail, rooster balls and moussaka dumplings. The area just next to the restaurant looks a bit grim but don’t let that put you off, as the immediate area by the restaurant has been well lit and some lovely planting which adds to the ambiance of the restaurant. The service was a bit different to what we expected; we were offered only one drink, all the food was rushed out almost at once, which would’ve been ace, if the table wasn’t too small to fit all the plates, at the end of the meal waiting for a waiter to come past, we got one finally and asked for what deserts were on offer. They sounded delicious but no one would come back to take our order or offer us any coffees or nightcap. When we asked for the bill we just sat around waiting and ended up going to the bar to pay. It was a shame, it seemed the waiters did not want anything to do with us. Which could have been seen as really nice and private or a bit, please leave or maybe it’s just how things go in Athens? It was a Tuesday night so 40% full. Lovely food and drinks but just be prepared for a different service engagement than what you might have at some other restaurants. Good to note. When they say the cocktails are paired with the meal what’s actually meant is the cocktail flavours compliment all the dishes flavours. Not, there a cocktail that is best paired with certain dishes, which is normal wine / food pairing lingo.
