Louis Bistrot, located at ÎαλαΌÎčÏÏÎżÏ 3 & Athinaidos in the heart of Athens, offers an exquisite dining experience that beautifully blends Greek and Mediterranean flavors. Our dinner there was nothing short of delightful, with each dish showcasing the chef's creativity and attention to detail.
We ordered the sea bass, meatballs, chicken fillet, and beef pastitsio, and each dish was perfectly executed:
Sea Bass: The fish was fresh, tender, and grilled to perfection, complemented by a light and flavorful lemon butter sauce. It was a standout for its simplicity and elegance.
Meatballs: These were juicy and well-seasoned, served with a rich tomato sauce that had just the right amount of zest and depth.
Chicken Fillet: Grilled to perfection, the chicken fillet was moist and flavorful, accompanied by a side of vegetables that were cooked al dente, adding a delightful crunch.
Beef Pastitsio: A modern take on the Greek classic, this dish featured layers of tender beef, creamy béchamel, and perfectly cooked pasta, all baked to golden perfection. It was hearty, comforting, and absolutely delicious.
The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The cozy yet elegant ambiance made it a perfect setting for a relaxing dinner.
We also loved their wine selection, which perfectly complemented our meal. For dessert, we indulged in a rich chocolate tart that rounded off our meal beautifully.
Louis Bistrot is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality food in a charming atmosphere. We left feeling thoroughly satisfied and eager to return on our next...
Read moreI have visited Athens throughout the day I had a lovely time. I was soaked into the culture, the history, the art and the warmth of its people. Don't get me wrong I do not cry wolf for no reason. I'm 35 years old I lived in Denmark in the early 2000's and I had my share of discrimination.
I just came from a nice diner with friends in the lovely neighbourhood of Plaka and some drinks at Kolokotroni street. My friend and gf were tired so they went home. I was in the mood for a Moscow Mule and nice music. So as I've dropped my girlfriend at our hotel I went for my craving.
I've landed at Louis Bistrot for a drink and some music oh yeah cause they were playing good music. Anyway, I tried to get in ... I tried... to get in. I was decent for any of you with fashion tips or whatever trust I was looking fly and even if my fashion did not fly, I saw a guy inside with a short and flipflops so.... anything goes.
Anyway the bouncer told me that I was not welcome since it's a private event which was not true since girls from my hotel told to go there and no private event. I saw them went in...few moments later.
Sooo in a nuthsell I did not get in I still dont know why and you just want. They ll come with areason on why you can't get in...don't feel bad

On the continuation of my journey it stopped drizzling and the cool sun came out through the overcast day. I visited with many locals and it was recommended by George, from a local shop, to try the little place up the next block, around the corner and to the left then to the right at the Y on your left called Louis Bistrot!! So I did!!
The salad was called Louie, so my thought is to always try anything on a menu with the name of the restaurant!! It was a green salad with grilled chicken, cucumber chips, parmesan, roasted sesame with a caper dressing. Did the description make you salivate? And then Spiros, the extremely personable and bigger than life smile with his big mustache waiter, highly recommended the lamb shank whick I had already been eyeing, so I took his recommendation. The slow cooked lamb shank in herbs and spices with a vegetable puree was delightful both with the flavors and texture of the lamb and the explositon of flavors in the pureed vegetables proved to be the excellent combination for a relaxing afternoon lunch in the cool open air. Though I couldn't...
