We would NOT recommend it. We had a reservation for dinner and were pretty disappointed.

Positive: Good range of Greek craft beer from small breweries. The wine was delicious too.

Food: The quality was good. Taste is good but not “wow”. Value for money is not good. You get way better in Athens.

Negative: That’s a HUGE NEGATIVE. There are actually only a few tables where you have a good view on the Acropolis. We had a reservation for 6:30 but arrived early at 6 since we were nearby already. They gave us a table in the room with a “rooftop” view (see pictures). My wife was so disappointed that we thought about leaving (especially for the prices they charge) but in the end we thought the other tables might be for reservations with groups 4+ and stayed (though our table was also for 4). However, nobody came until 8:30!! The whole room with the “good view” remained empty. They easily could have given us one of the tables for 4 people with a perfect view until 8:15.

The few people that came for a drink with a view could have sit also in the room until 8:15. They all had to stare at the rooftops.

For no guest it is an issue if the waiters simple say, that the “table is just available until…” so happy guests can enjoy the view.

The group that had a kind of Greek cooking experience also had to sit there.

Service: The blond girl and one of the guys were nice. The other girl had an unpleasant attitude. At the beginning they were fast, actually too pushy for us. In the end we waited more than 25 minutes to order the bill, gave up and went to the bar to ask for it.

With a little bit more effort that place could be nice. But we had the feeling that they just care for the money rather than providing a joyful experience for...

This review is about the “Greek Cooking Class in Athens Including Rooftop Dinner with Acropolis View”:

Really great experience with a great chef/teacher. I made a great meal. And did I mention that I can’t cook?

There were 12 people in this class. It was held in the Artist restaurant. The chef that was leading the cooking class was Spyros. He has a great teaching style, mixed with causal tone, jokes and utter professionalism.

My wife was the initiator that found it. At first I didn’t want to go as I can’t really cook. I went with her to keep her company. But in the end I truly enjoyed it. Spyros has a great personality and is very easy to talk to and learn from.

The class took several hours and at the end all of us (including Spyros) had a dinner at the rooftop. We ate what we cooked. At first I was utterly afraid of that concept (remember I can’t cook) but because of a good teacher I was able to enjoy what I cooked.

Overall it was a great unexpected experience. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

PS. I’ll give you couple of pointers that I was concerned about:

you can show up in a t-shirt and jeans or shorts. It was all casual. No dress code was enforced.

make sure not to wear long sleeves as you may mess them up with flour.

they will provide all cooking utensils and aprons. You don’t need to bring anything.

it will be conducted in English. Although interestingly enough we had a Spanish lady with us in a class that could barely speak English. And everyone was very patient with her, trying to repeat things for her.

if you can’t cook (like me) the chef will be patient with you. No Gordon Ramsey yelling at you (or whatever that English dude’s name is.) So don’t be...

Zero effort to offer the best customer experience.

We had a reservation for a Wednesday evening.

On the roof top terrace there are 3 “spaces/open air rooms” to sit in and only one of them has a beautiful view over the Acropolis. The other 2 spaces look over the local buildings walls and roofs.

They seated us in one of the spaces looking over the local buildings walls and roofs and not the Acropolis although the space with the beautiful views was completely empty and stayed that way for the next two and a hat hours after our arrival. Such a pity because we were very disappointed. We also overheard 2 other couples sitting near us saying the same thing how disappointed they are to be sitting here for a drink whereas the room with the beautiful views was completely empty.

There was no desire to offer the best customer experience possible but there was a desire to make money, act fancy and inaccessible.

The food is good but does not match the high prices. The service it depends: the hostess was not friendly, our waitress was. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. The view depends where you sit.

We paid almost 100€ for two people without a desert. For the price you pay in Athens you can get excellent quality food and not just good.

The city is full of roof top bars with beautiful views over the Acropolis. I would not recommend coming to this place. Go to another place where the prices are more reasonable, the entire service is warm and hearty and the staff will offer you the best possible...
