Wild Poppies Athens — Restaurant in Athens

The minute we stepped foot in there we sensed a strong smell of SHIT🤢so not a very good first impression🥴 then they told us "no reservation?!? It's Saturday..what did you expect" so starting of very rude..they did find us a table at the bar outside and told us “it is Saturday..” again as if we didn’t know 😭 The dishes we tried were good but we chose the spicy ones 🥵 The dessert with matcha was nice but nothing extraordinary (I liked the coconut ice cream) I was gonna give this 3 stars ⭐️ BUT at the end they didn’t give us the bill even though we asked for it 🤷🏻‍♀️ they just verbally announced the total to us..also no receipt 🧾 was taken or given to us 😭 Btw the toilets looked so cheap, the colors were kitsch and it looked like it was a Mexican place and not a modern Asian fancy bar that it claims to be.. I’m sorry for my harsh review but it is the truth and all the people that were...

We made a dinner reservation for 10 people 1 month prior and they called 1 day before the reservation to tell us that they won’t be operating as a restaurant that evening, only drinks… When I asked why was that the quite rude lady that’s responsible for reservations told me that she was just informed as well. There was no real explanation given, which would be appreciated, why would they not operate as a restaurant that evening? When asked to talk with the manager she said that it’s not possible. Told her I had to think about cancelling or not and when I called 30 minutes later she was not picking up anymore, so unprofessional. I ended up booking someplace else and I never heard from that lady again. Please hire people who are professionals. And I would love to know why the kitchen did not work that night, really! I’m glad we did not spend our evening...

Δεν περίμενα ποτέ πως ο χώρος που ήταν το παλιό ντιμπουκ θα μπορούσε να γίνει κάτι διαφορετικό από αυτό που ήταν . Λάθος σκέψη καθώς το wild poppies είναι ένα μαγαζί με στυλ , άποψη , ωραία κουζίνα , καλό κόσμο και εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό . Ας ξεκινήσουμε απτά βασικά , χρειάζεσαι κράτηση αν θες να φας ! Για ποτό ίσως όχι αν και κρίνοντας από τον κόσμο μέσα το μαγαζί πρέπει να ρίχνει πόρτα και να τηρεί dress code . Ο χώρος είναι πολύ ατμοσφαιρικός με φοβερά πόστερ και τοιχογραφίες . Το προσωπικό εξυπηρετικό και γρήγορο . Στα του φαγητού … όλα τα πιάτα ήρθαν στη σειρά , σε σωστούς χρόνους τόσο ώστε να τα ευχαριστηθείς και να μη μπουκώσεις ή να μην ξέρεις τι να πρώτο φας … πολύ σημαντικό για μένα αυτό . Επειδή δοκιμάσαμε πολλά από τον κατάλογο έχω ξεχωρίσει τα Thai noodles με γαρίδα . Πολύ καλό ψήσιμο , γαρίδα γευστική . Τα ρολ με αρκετό ενδιαφέρον ειδικά το ρολ με λαυράκι . Το fried rice από τα καλύτερα που έχω φάει και ίσως το πιο φτηνό του πιάτο . Αξίζει . Πάμε τώρα σε αυτό το συγκλονιστικό πιάτο το Pork Gyoza . Οτι πιο συναρπαστικό έχω δοκιμάσει σε ασιατική κουζίνα . Χωρίς να είμαι λάτρης των καυτερών , τρώγοντας την πρώτη μπουκιά είναι λες σ έρχεται αναλαμπή . Μαγικό απλά ! Συμπαθητικά τα κοκτέιλ αλλά όχι να ξετρελαθείς . Μου άρεσε πολύ το big heat βέβαια . Ο κόσμος είναι τοπ και οι Dj που έπαιζαν ανέβαζαν το vibe με πολύ ωραίο τρόπο . Ένας εκ των ιδιοκτητών έπαιζε κ μουσική όσο είμαστε και τα έσπαγε . Έγινε καλή ανάλυση νομίζω εγκρίνουμε φουλ . Δεν το λες φτηνό , ίσα ίσα αλλά οι παροχές και το μέρος σε αποζημιώνουν . Μπράβο στα παιδιά που το έχουν και σε όλο...
