Ariston — Restaurant in Municipality of Ancient Olympia

I will tell you detailed what exactly bothered us. Info: We ate for dinner at a monday at 8pm on April with still above 20°C at the tables in front of the restaurant, there was only one other couple eating at the same time we did. Food: They had no chicken souvlaki (that we were told when we got seeted) and only one pork souvlaki left) The so called roasted vegetables for 9€ were a way too small portion of only few but way too overcooked potatoes and zucchini which were very soon very cold - 1/5. The Bifteki Portion for 9€ was great, the salad had no dressing but the taste of the dip, the French fries and the patty was very good - 4/5. The Bifteki (one patty) for 5€ had some french fries as a side, still it was a bit too expensive and the french fries were not really hot and very soon cold too - 3/5. It was actually the best Bifteki we ate so far! We also had the Skepastes for 8,50€. Imagine a round pitabread with a diameter of about 30cm with some tomatoes, salad, gyros and french fries in it, that is cut into four slices. There was nearly no taste since the tomatoes and the sauce turned the fries into sponges. I layed the fries beside and ate the pita slices, since they were also only medium hot. But it was much, so 2/5. To sum up: 2/5 for the food. Service: The guy who was serving us was nice and polite, he told us that there is no chicken souvlaki before we sit down and asked whether we wanted our food on one plate or multiple. While we ate he was not around and only came once to give us the receipt - 4/5 Summary: mathematically a 3 out of 5. Since we were there to eat and drink and not to meet nice people and those essential things were quite bad, it's a 2/5. We would not recommend it to others except you want a portion of...

Ότι χειρότερο για φαγητό δοκίμασα εφέτος ! Γυρνώντας από τον Πύργο για το χωριό καθίσαμε μεσημέρι καθημερινής . 1 τραπέζι μόνο είχε 2 άτομα. Το σέρβις δεν είχε πρόβλημα , φάγαμε σχετικά γρήγορα . Το πρόβλημα ήταν σε όλα τα υπόλοιπα . Αρχικά αν θες τουαλέτα καλύτερα κρατήσου γιατί είναι τόσο ακάθαρτη που κανονικά έπρεπε να καλέσουμε το υγειονομικό . επίσης η τουαλέτα είναι μια χωρίς να χωρίζει αντρών και γυναικών . Δίπλα στην τουαλέτα μπορείς να δεις μέσα την κουζίνα και μάντεψε .... είναι το ίδιο ακάθαρτα !!! Πάμε στο φαγητό . για κακη μας τύχη θέλαμε να φάμε μαγειρευτά ! πήραμε λοιπόν 2 παστίτσιο , 1 κοκκινιστό μοσχάρι με μακαρόνια , 1 αρνάκι λεμονάτο με πατάτες τηγανιτές , 1 γεμιστά(1 ντοματούλα και 1 πιπεριά μίνι) , 1 σαλάτα , 1 φέτα σε φύλλο κρούστας με μέλι , 1 τυροκαυτερή , 1 μπύρα ποτήρι και 3 κόκα κόλες . Όλα τα κυρίως ήταν από κατάψυξη σίγουρα και είχαν ξεπαγώσει και ζεσταθεί στον φούρνο μικροκυμάτων , ειδικά τα γεμιστά και το παστίτσιο ήταν τόσο φανερά ξεπαγωμένα στο μικροκυμάτων που ήθελα να τα στείλω πίσω . Τέλος για το κερασάκι στην τούρτα ήταν ο λογαριασμός ..... 105 ευρώ παρακαλώ !!! για 5 κυρίως (μαγειρευτά) , 1 σαλάτα , 2 ορεκτικά , 3 αναψυκτικά και 1 μπύρα ποτήρι . Σκέφτηκα να ζητήσω αναλυτικό λογαριασμό καθώς δεν είδαμε κατάλογο στην αρχή απλά ρωτήσαμε αν έχει μαγειρευτά και έτσι τα παραγγείλαμε , αλλά λόγο ότι κέρασα την παρέα δεν ήθελα να το κάνω. Απλά πλήρωσα και φύγαμε . Δεν θα σχολίαζα τα 105 ευρώ αν το φαγητό ήταν αντάξιο της της τιμής του , αλλά το φαγητό ήταν ξανα ζεσταμένο . Το λάθος μας ήταν ότι δεν φύγαμε όταν είδαμε την τουαλέτα και την κουζίνα και να πάμε σε άλλο μαγαζί , και να μην παίζουμε την υγεία μας στα ζάρια ! Σίγουρα δεν το προτείνω σε κανένα και σίγουρα αν με βγάλει ποτέ ο δρόμος στην περιοχή δεν θα πάω εκεί ούτε για να πάω τουαλέτα !!!! *ευτυχώς είμαστε...

When we approached the restaurant we where advise it was the same as the café next-door. We decided to sit at the restaurant because we were ordering mainly food. We ordered an appetizer and a handheld gyro, where abroightly cut off and told we needed to sit across at the cafe for that. So we moved seats, then about 8-10min later 1 gyro and our appetizer came out. (We never got a chance to finishing ordering). They also quickly removed the cafe menu so we never had a chance to order coffee. Very disappointed with...
