Whilst exploring our way around Heraklion in Crete, we stumbled across Nori, a Japanese restaurant and was immediately captured by its small and amazing charm and wonderful design and decor.
Whilst admiring the surroundings of Nori, we were approached by who I believe was the owner/manager who was very friendly and happy to chat about the restaurant. We made a promise to return due to our love of Japanese cuisine and the following evening we chose to dine here at Nori.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the team and offered a choice of table. Nori has a wonderful charm and as evening sets, a very relaxing and fitting atmosphere sets the mood. The design and decor is modern, bright and together makes a great environment to dine.
The menu has a fantastic selection of dishes and certainly something for every palette.
Selections made and our food arrived in a timely manner dish by dish as it was prepared.
The food was superb with fresh ingredients and of very generous portions.
All the staff at Nori were pleasant and very attentive and such a key ingredient to a successful business.
All in all we found Nori a superb experience and one we would be happy to recommend and certainly go back to.
Should you find yourself in Heraklion, don’t hesitate to visit Nori, I don’t think you’ll be...
Read moreMy family went here today to eat sushi, and even though I do not eat it myself, there are multiple positives.
The time the server got to our table to bring us menus and take our food was lightning fast, and the overall service was amazing. At one point when we were ready to pay, we mistook "the bill" for "debile" but he explained it to us and it was all fine after 😂**
The atmosphere was very nice, too. The place looked like a traditional Chinese dojo, and had an upstairs area with more tables to sit at, so the place could hold more people. *
And lastly: The Food. As I mentioned I do not eat sushi, but the dishes that I did eat we're absolutely fire and not that expensive. Considering how good the food is, the 70 euros that we paid was honestly justified . *
If you're looking for a place that won't break the bank and give you good food and service after a long day of walking, you should really come here. There are many other good restaurants around, so you can eat whatever floats...

If you read this and doubting, I'm telling you:Do not miss out on Nori!! I'm half Peruvian and my partner and I are huge Japanese cuisine fans. Nori is in our top 5 worldwide, surpassing some Michelin star Japanese fusion restaurants.
The food is very very tasty, especially the sushi and noodles. However, the absolute best part is the service. We were absolutely blown away by the hospitality of the entire team, and especially Paul. He even asked me to taste their Peruvian cocktail so he could check it tasted authentic. I've never had that happen before.
The price is a bit higher compared to other restaurants but still reasonably cheap by western european standards. We ate a three course meal with some cocktails and drinks and spent around €40 per person in total. We found this entirely justifiable by the quality of the food and service.
Again, do not miss this spot if you're...
