Mykonos Old Port has a number of restaurants that literally call to you as you walk along the waterfront. With so many choices, we chose Kazarma based on the recommendation of a local.
Staff were friendly and generally attentive. It was nice to be offered a front row outdoor table without asking. Slightly disappointed to see that the menu didn't offer too many traditional Greek dishes. Clearly they're targeting the generic diner.
We ordered the egg plant (cold appetiser) and the fish catch-of-the-day (Grouper) to share. This was served with some boiled vegetables and French fries.
Overall, the dishes were flavourful without bring particularly memorable. The fish was definitely fresh and was a good choice.
HOWEVER... if you're going to be ordering the catch-of-the-day (note: not just at Kazarma but anywhere on the island), be prepared to pay top prices for the pleasure... but you're probably already aware that Mykonos isn't known for being the most budget friendly...

The food is surprisingly good but no amount of good food is worth the rudeness and belittling behaviour of the staff.
We had juSt arrived to Mykonos, decided to take a stroll and when we saw kazarma, we thought of having a quick bite
We were served by one Costas/Kaustas. Right from the time we sat on the table, he made us feel so unwelcomed. From banging cutlery on the table, to passing snide comments. We literally had no idea as to what we did to him. Remember asking for tobasco and the server got mad, he then went on to bring the tobasco in a small dip bowl. We didn’t think too much of it. However when we needed a refill, another server got us the bottle! Now, when our original server comes in, he picked up the tobassco bottle 4 times and banged it on the table every time that he picked it up. Was it the color of our skin? Was it our food choices? We will never know!
No should go to a restaurant and feel so uninvited...

It started with a simple order of calamari. I’ve never experienced anything like this before the calamari was hard rubbery and the staff stated that it was frozen from the previous season. Only 20 ft from the sea and I was being served trash. Asked they remove it from the table it was that bad. The only reason I stayed seated is because I ordered a bottle of wine and the wine was enjoyable. When the bill came the server insisted that I pay for the calamari even though I didn’t eat it. It was removed from the table. I certainly didn’t let that happen. Others were getting up and walking out because of the quality of the food. Beware if eating here. There are many...
