Read moreThe friendliness of the waiters requires me to give Kadena a third star.
Do you go to a restaurant to eat and chat? The background music at Kadena, with a drumbeat rhythm, is more inviting to dance. I asked the waiter to turn the volume down, but he turned it up twenty minutes later. When we left, we noticed that the sound was getting quieter at the other tables. Why didn't the waiter offer us another table when I complained about the music?
As a starter, I ordered fish soup. Normally, you expect a broth made from fish to be the base for good pieces of fish meat. However, at Kadena, they serve potato soup with very few and small pieces of fish.
For the main course, my wife and I ordered a whole fish accompanied by grilled vegetables and French fries. However, the fish meat arrived raw! The waiter assured us that "two or three" extra minutes in the oven would solve the problem. During the extra FIFTEEN minutes, our hunger led us to eat all of the (delicious) French fries. The wine was good, but the horrible music continued loudly until the end of dinner.
The bill arrived entirely in Greek, and even then we noticed that one item had been incorrectly charged.
We returned to the ship knowing that we had missed the opportunity to enjoy a good dinner in...

We were a group of eight, and the service was exceptional—at one point, four waiters were making sure we all got our food at the same time. This level of attention really made a difference.
We ordered fresh fish, including a sea bass and a red something fish (can’t remember the name, but it was definitely the best choice—super delicate and not fishy at all). Each was €50, and the waiter deboned the fish right at the table, making it ready to eat. To me, the real stand out was a shrimp, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked shrimp.
The appetizers didn’t disappoint either. The cheese pie with honey was amazing, and the Greek salad was really good. The octopus, often at risk of tasting like a rubber tire, was hands down the best I’ve ever had—tender and flavourful.
Kadena is right by the sea, so it offers a nice view if you’re into that. Overall, it’s a great spot for delicious food and attentive service in a...
