Read moreMy brother and I went here for dessert on our first night in Mykonos and the baklava was really good, but the service was horrendous. We were seated at a table at the far extremity of the terrace with the restaurant sign blocking the view of the port. When we asked if we could move to a table with a bit of a better view (at this time the restaurant was not even half full), the host said that those tables were only for people having dinner. For the hour and a half that we sat there, most of the tables remained empty, so we very easily could have been moved. Our baklava came, but the water that we ordered never did. When we asked to pay the server said that the machine wasn’t working because of a signal and that we could wait or pay with cash. We were in no rush, so we said that we would wait. After about half an hour, my brother asked if it was up and running yet and our server very sternly responded that he didn’t know when it would be working again and that we had to wait if we wanted to pay with card. After about a minute, he motioned to my brother to come inside and pay and while he was in there, he just handed the machine to him and said ‘tap’ and ignored us when we said thank you. This restaurant is in a beautiful spot and the baklava is good, but the service you receive clearly depends on how much...
Read moreRouvera is the typical tourist trap. Since is located at the old port’s Main Street is one of the first restaurants one sees, and probably because of that, you see it packed of people, inviting you to enter and seat. The hosts are very charming, but right after you get seated the bad experience begins… We’ve ordered 3 main dishes, typical from the menu (supposedly) but it took 1 hour by clock to get our food. In the meantime after 40 minutes we had to call the host to ask for the delay and to beg him to bring us at least some bread with olives or something to eat, because our waiter never bothered in that whole hour to come to our table to check on us. They brought us just 4 pieces of bread with olive oil (no olives, no dips, anything, like is typical in all local restaurants). When the food finally arrived, my dish was cold, my son’s supposed to be a pork chop with a special jack Daniels sauce (it was just plane old bbq sauce) And my wife’s salmon dish with rotten odors. Of course when the check arrived, it was super expensive, no discount, no apologies, no courtesy treat, AND THEY CHARGED US WITH THE BREAD PIECES AND THE OLIVE OIL SEPARATELY!!!! Like I said, a tourists’ trap. A rip off. They don’t give a damn about costumers experience or quality. They’re just to...
