We chose to sat and eat at the restaurant as a group of teenage friends who were on a school trip and wanted to try a different cuisine. First of all let's start with the food, we had salmon avocado and philadelphia maki as well as steamed dumplings for starters which were just fine. Two of the four of us had the teriyaki chicken which was fine as well. When it came to the other two of our group, we had noodles and specifically the vegetable ones and those with the duck. One thing can be said (about the noodles at least) - pure disappointment. Inarguably generous portions but very bland, tasteless and oily. Not to mention that the pieces of duck were half skin - half meat. I've had plenty of noodle dishes before and especially at the price of 9-11€, they all had some type of sauce which gave them rich flavour and complimented the other ingredients. Overall fine starters, disappointing noodles for main dishes.
For the most part our experience with the restaurant was fine - until we were met with the poor service. The waiter, who I'd imagine is also the manager of the place was impatient and generally seemed to be bothered by the customers. That we could generally ignore. However, when me and my friend walked in the building of the restaurant and asked where the bathroom was we were rudely told by the waiter that there's no bathroom for by-passers (even though he had already served us 3 times and the other people of our group had already used the toilet before us).
To sum up, decent food (depending on what you choose to eat), nice clean and organised place but with poor service. Would not come again, I think there are better options in Nafplio even though not of the same cuisine.
(Ps. I only have photos of the chicken teriyaki and maki. I also have to mention that upon our arrival we were treated with some free of charge...
Read moreNaturally, when I write a review on a restaurant, I mainly refer to the food. This time I will say that the food is reasonable, nothing to write home about. We came for a light dinner and only ordered one main course, a soup, sushi and a small side dish. We expected to pay less than 20 euros. When the waiter/manager/ owner? came with the bill and asked for 5.5 euros more, I asked to see the bill. He was confused for a second, said maybe he made a mistake (only 4 items on the bill) , left the table and returned after about 10 minutes. During this time, I saw him making calculations. This person is very resourceful and creative. In order to explain the extra 5.5 euros, he splitted the price of the main course (9.5 euros), mushrooms and bamboo shoots, to mushrooms 4 euros and bamboo 5.5. Now he had 3 items of 5.5, a soup, half bamboo dish and a course which I call “I tried” to make me more confused. I tipped him heavily with 0 euros and left the restaurant not before warning other tables. I hate to think how many people pay extra for not...
Read moreReally unfortunate experience at this restaurant. Ordered the hot and sour soup and it came out tasting like an entire bottle of vinegar was poured into it. The waiter got angry that we wanted to send the soup back and when he asked for the reason why, he didn't seem to want to accept what we said, saying that he serves the soup all the time and hasn't gotten any complaints. This is the first time I've ever sent a dish back to the kitchen, and the first time a waiter argued with me about my experience of their food. In the end we were still charged for it. I only hope this feedback helps the...
