🔸️This is a detailed review because I want to inform unsuspecting visitors.
This place is an obvious tourist trap. It claims to be a Greek restaurant, yet its name sounds unmistakably French—and neither description fits at all.
The menu is broad, trying to cater to everyone, which often signals mediocrity and a lack of focus—and that proved true here, to an extreme degree. Prices are incredibly inflated, nearly double the standard in the area, while the food quality is on par with a fast-food chain. To give you an idea: one fresh orange juice cost 7€, and a basic chicken salad was 13€. Locals would never dine here, and as someone who did, I can confidently say: never again.
I ordered a chicken burger for 17€, and at that price, I expected something premium. Instead, I was immediately disappointed. The buns were dry and stale, the chicken fillet was fine but completely unremarkable, the side sauce was nothing more than basic ketchup, and the rest of the ingredients were equally flavorless. The only decent thing on the plate were the French fries—well-seasoned, full of oregano, and genuinely tasty.
Service was friendly, but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. My table hadn’t been wiped down, and the cutlery provided was dirty. That’s unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one charging this much.
As for the toilets—you’d expect something better from a place that appears this polished from the outside, but once again, disappointment. It looked like they rushed to throw in some basic facilities in the building’s basement and called it done. You’d hope they’d at least be functional, but even that wasn’t the case—the toilet flush was broken.
In short, this place is tailored for unsuspecting tourists, which also explains the strangely positive reviews—they’re from people who simply don’t know better. It charges premium prices for subpar food and offers little in return beyond surface-level charm. There are far better options nearby, both in quality and value. I wouldn’t return, and I wouldn’t...
Read moreCame back again today and it was even more memorable than the first time (see below)!
If it's your first time in Rhodes ( even if not) just go here and you'll have instant family. We only went in for lunch and the game and stayed for hours - their hospitality knows no bounds.
The food is delicious. The pork souvlaki was delicious: tender, juicy and nicely chargrilled. Again, the dolmades were fantastic, and the house wine delicious (it's a bit more than the usual but better too).
The family has been in business a long time and it shows.
First visit This wonderful cafe/bar located on a quiet pedestrian street away from the busy, touristy, areas is just great! The staff are so welcoming and friendly you really feel at home.
We wanted to watch our team play (a late game) and asked if this was possible as it ended after closing for them. They said they wouldn't mind if we didn't mind them closing up while we watched the game. It was a truly fantastic evening and we were treated like family.
We only had starters and wine but it was delicious and they rolled out the red carpet for us. We are going back again soon for their hospitality and good food.
The prices were more than fair and it was great value for money. Also, just noticed the comments about the cats: even if you are not a cat person these moggies are gorgeous!

Queen Tata is the main attraction, she's 17 years old and has been with the restaurant from almost the beginning! Besides her the restaurant makes sure to feed local cats and you can even donate in a special box. Overall a great experience and the food and experience really make the...
