Drosoulites - Rakadiko — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Staff was nice, atmosphere fantastic. Unfortunate that the food didn’t live up to expectations at all.

We decided to order a Greek salad, which was very bland and the feta cheese was very dry and garlic bread, which tasted like store-bought frozen garlic bread, for starters, however, despite letting the waiter know we wanted it for starters, it didn’t get served until they served the main course.

To the main course, I ordered a pork steak, which was accompanied by fries. No sauce was served with it unfortunately. The fries were well seasoned and delicious. The pork steak was also good but was mostly bone & fat. (The part that was meat was delicious tho). My girlfriend ordered the chicken carbonara, which literally almost tasted like nothing, tasted like cream with no seasoning, pasta was over cooked and the chicken completely dry.

The wine was good at least.

1/5 for food because most dishes were bland, the 1 star is for the fries and the small part of the steak which was meat.

4/5 for service, kind waiters but didn’t serve the starters before the main course, and took quite some time for them to take our orders. They gave us some cheesecake on the house which was kind but it was also, very very bland.

Unfortunately our dinner at Drosoulites was a very disapointing experience. At first sight it looked like a nice setting with reasonable prices, but afterwards we felt robbed. Both the quality of the food and the service were very poor.

We felt like we were in a fast food restaurant. The waiter was not paying attention while taking our orders, already looking at the next table and listening to his earphone. After taking our order the waiter delivered our drinks together with the bill, which made us feel like we had to finish our dinner as soon as possible. This was aggrevated when the starters were served together with the main dish, which was unconvenient. At least the main dish of half of the company, the other half came 15 minutes later. Although the menu said that the dishes from the grill would be served with potatoes, we had to order them seperately and pay extra. They were however not worth a cent, since they were slap and satturated with fat.

All in all it was a mistake to spend our time and money in this restaurant. We would definitely not recommend it...

A beautiful courtyard, almost a garden, with a fountain, on the border between the new and old city. A Cretan menu that could be better if the cold mezze were served at room temperature and not frozen. A rude and arrogant waitress, who responded rudely when, politely and only after having already paid, we pointed out that she had made a mistake in the order, doubling two dishes. He was probably just pretending to understand English. Among other things, we only pointed this out so that he would be more careful in the future, we ate them anyway because the portions are really small. Two courses each, plus two pitas, and we left still hungry. The waitress didn't even ask us if we wanted to order other courses, nor if we wanted a second bottle of wine or a liqueur, nor were we offered dessert, unlike customers in the most recent reviews. From the beginning, no customer focus. Too bad, in a place that could be pleasant it was the worst dinner of the entire...
