We just came across this delightful place on our first day in Rhodes as it was just down the road from our apartment. It’s in a little street away from the crowds, is quite simple, but ticks all the boxes. It’s run by a genial Englishman who looks like he could be almost any ageing rock star from the 60’s (although the music played by the cafe is a very nice mix of 70’s and 80’s stuff). Sat down right a 11, and they were still putting the tables out. Beer came fast; ice-cold and wet. Food took about 30 min since we were very early (we even saw the tomatoes arrive). Service was wonderful, fast and charming. The food: Delicious. I was eating and every bite was so so good. We got the pork gyro and the chicken filet. Tender grilled chicken and succulent pork gyro. We absolutely love this place!! From the food to the people everything is perfect, everyone is friendly and very welcoming. The food is a good price and the taste is incredible, we honestly think that the gyros here are the best in the whole of Rhodes and have been here for 3 months so we have tried many different places gyros and always agreed Salt and Pepper has the best.
