Alfresco — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

Alfresco offers a fantastic dining experience that leaves a lasting impression. The welcoming environment is charming, with cozy seating and lovely decor, perfectly nestled in front of a square. However, it can be easy to miss as trees slightly obscure the restaurant’s sign. Despite this, the warm and friendly staff make sure you feel right at home from the moment you step in.

We indulged in the kleftiko, a lamb shank dish, and it did not disappoint. The meat was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection alongside vegetables in a rich, flavorful sauce—so good that we couldn’t leave a single drop behind.

One of the best things about Alfresco is the excellent value for money. Despite being in a tourist-heavy area, the prices are reasonable, and you never feel like they’re trying to take advantage of tourists. You truly get what you pay for: quality food, great service, and an overall memorable experience.

Great atmosphere. kind and friendly staff, but as someone with high food standards the food was just awful. It was just an average portion. We ordered a chicken skewers which weren’t that bad but it was very dry and some parts flavourful other parts were not and were burned. The chips were nice and crispy. The kleftiko had no flavour and it was soggy and the potatoes had no flavour really flavourless. We waited around 50 minutes. By then it has arrived we were really hungry so we ended up eating it. The waitresses were standing around but nobody have asked if everything was okay. One of the waitress was doing the serving pretty well, the other younger one looked bored and not interested in serving. Due to the location it was a nice place to vibe but really for the waiting time and the quality of the food I wouldn’t go back or recommend...

Came earlier this week with quite a big group of relatives and 3 young children- we all agreed the food here was the favourite we’d had during our stay in the area and the service was excellent! The food all arrived at the same time, tasted great, and the servers were incredibly lovely and attentive. The vegetarian in our group said her burger was the best she’s had. They were also incredibly kind and friendly to the toddlers but in a way that didn’t overwhelm my shy daughter. Thanks for a great finish to our stay in Santorini!...
