GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY
We came early for breakfast and were the only ones in at 8.30. At 9.45 there were a few more guest. The service was OK (as they didnt overcharge as the rest of the Santorini cafés) and the personel was very pleasant. Don't wait for the bill, as you pay in the bar.
For two persons, we shared following: 1x Benedict Eggs (comes with a small salad) 1x Greek Yoghurt w/granola, fruit and honey 1x Pancake w/nutella and fruit 2x Latte 2x Orange Juice
The total bill was €47,50 which is the cheapest we have tried at Santorini for a café with sea view. The food was great, almost perfect besides small details as the bit overcooked eggs and some of the fruits (apple and mango) was a bit dry. Everything else was really good! Compared to a hotel restaurant nearby, where you double up the bill for the same menu, it was almost the same standard.
If you find the right spot on the roof terrace you will have sea view to both sides of the island (east and west). Remember a hat and/or sunglasses for the morning hours (opens at 8am). You will be seated next to a hotel with a beautiful windmill, and down the street towards Fira you can see a blue church dome...
Read moreThe servers in this place are very slow. I ordered my iced latte and I had to remind the barista to make it. She was all over the place. After 20 minute wait for our food, I went back inside and saw that our food are ready so I asked the barista to just hand it to me, she said for me to wait for the server. I told her the server is taking too long and my 9 year old son is hungry. She went to the kitchen and started talking in Greek with the lady in the back. I asked her can I get my food and silverware. She gave me the food and was giving me dirty knife, I said that's dirty. Then she kept talking in Greek and I said it's ok then walked away. She went to our table and said I don't need to be rude and if I want I can return the food. Who's actually rude? Me your customer or you the cafe? After that incident a mom and daughter left because the people who work in the cafe are rude! If you like rude people serving you then you will...
Read moreIt was a hot afternoon in Fira and walking along the pathways we were searching for the three bells church located up on the hill. We walked by an interesting store selling "Lazy A**" Beer amongst other donkey related beers. Something about the Greeks and Donkeys, which I have yet to figure out. My wife then noticed a little geletaria called "Tres Bambini" meaning 3 children and the view seemed great from there. She ordered the Tiramisu ice cream and we were blown away by its flavours. It was particularly good, given the heat and she relished it to the last drop! What we then observed along our exploration of the islands was the ice cream she carried was from a local greek brand called Kayak which we were happy to see all over Greece! The view was great and we were served well by a sweet and patient old lady. Being the tail end of the season helped as it wasn't too busy and if you need to take a break, this is a nice...
